Aqua Blue

La chambre est très spacieuse. La literie est superbe : c’est le lit et l’oreiller les plus confortables de tout notre voyage au Sri Lanka ! Le drap est très grand et très confortable aussi. Les petits déjeuner sont variés et tous délicieux. Basheer qui dirige cet établissement est juste incroyablement gentil et prévoyant. Il veut que tout se passe bien et ça se ressent complètement. Nous avons prolongé notre séjour de 3 nuits tellement nous nous y sommes bien sentis. Il est excrément arrangeant concernant l’heure du petit déjeuner et a vraiment envie de nous rendre notre séjour exceptionnel. Grâce à lui nous avons fait un safari exceptionnel au parc de Kumana (et avons vu 2 léopards alors que nous n’en avions pas vu à Willpatu). Nous avons également pu prendre des cours de surf grâce à lui. La terrasse est très agréable, avec jolis fauteuils et hamac. Avec même un ventilateur au plafond. La climatisation fonctionne super bien et il y a également un ventilateur mural dans la chambre. Les 2 ne font pas de bruit. La salle de bain est super, et le début de l’eau était nickel et l’eau chaude fonctionne parfaitement ! L’hôtel est situé au bout de la rue d’Arugam bay, ce qui permet d’être loin de l’agitation (0 bruit dans la chambre juste les oiseaux) mais tout est accessible à pied. C’est à dire à 2 minutes de la plage (même pas) et à 10 minutes de l’agitation de la ville avec tous les restaurants, bars. Donc un excellent compromis. Il est situé proche des différents spots de surf : le main point se trouve au bout de la plage donc accessible à pied (il y a des locations de planches sur place). Sinon les autres spots sont accessibles en tuktuk facilement. Bref on a vraiment adoré loger dans l’hôtel de Basheer, on s’y sent tout de suite bien.

Franchement nous ne voyons pas de point négatif

The host Bassher has to be one of the most incredible hosts I have ever been with, not only was he helping me figure out ways to get from Arugam bay to Ella after I had been scammed but he was always online messaging with activities to do, what food to have for breakfast. He is such a down to earth guy and I will miss him so much when I leave Sri Lanka. Can’t wait till we meet again my friend, thankyou for the best stay.

Basheer the host is a beacon of friendliness and hospitality and the rooms are everything you need, clean, with hammock, good working a/c, nice and big bed and a private terrace/balcony in front. The breakfast which is included is super tasty and just in general great value for money!

The property is at the start of town, close walking distance to everything yet quieter at night times. Walking distance to beach!

It was such a nice stay, and amazing rooms!! The owners went over their way to decorate our room for our anniversary🙏🏼 thank you so much. Pancakes for breakfast was lovely aswell as the shakshuka. Felt very safe and was a perfect place to relax. Location was good so close to the beach and they also provided beach towels. 10 minutes walk from main part of the city, but very walkable and easy. Very clean.

My stay at Aqua Blue Arugam Bay was absolutely phenomenal. Basheer and his team were incredibly accommodating, making the experience truly special from start to finish. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, and breakfast exceeded expectations with an impressive variety of options. A lovely finishing touch was the hammock on the private balcony — a feature most, if not all, rooms enjoy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

From the moment we arrived, we got welcomed with fresh fruite juice and a great explanation on activities and suggestions to do around Arugam bay, we booked the safari with them and was fantastic!🐆🐘. Every morning we had a choice of different things for breakfast, we loved the Shakshuka so delicious! Room and aircon where great! Beach a couple of steps away. Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
