We recommend staying with Basheer. He is incredibly kind, always available for any questions and full of helpful tips that made our time in Arugam Bay even more special. His warm and welcoming nature made us feel right at home. If we ever return to Arugam Bay, we wouldn’t think twice, we’d stay with Basheer again.

We loved our stay. The rooms were great, good wifi, AC was nice, hammock, good bed, a warm and cold shower. Basheer was an amazing host. The cleaned the room after a few nights. Great breakfast and Basheer could help out with anything you need. Day planning, surf lessons. The surf lessons we enjoyed so much and definitely recommend. It was our frist time and it was great! I love that it is a bit outside the busy street, but a small walk and your there for all the restaurants. We booked a few nights more. Thank you!

The property was on the edge of the strip so nice and quiet and a short walk into the centre. The rooms were big, comfortable and very clean and the veranda and hammock were lovely. Basheer was a very good host, he organised a surfing lesson for us at Peanut Farm and helped us when we forgot the code to our safe. Breakfast was big and delicious!

Genialer Aufenthalt, Herzlicher Empfang von Basheer (Manager von Aqua Blue), ein herzlicher, warmherziger, offener Mann, der alles macht, dass der Urlaub ein Top Erlebnis wird; Er organisiert alles zu preiswerten Konditionen (Tuk Tuk, Surf Boards, Safari, Wäscheservice (600 LRK/ kg) , Taxi´s, etc.). Täglich frisches Frühstück (Getränk + Speisen) zum Auswählen am Vortag. 1 min. zum Strand (sehr ruhig). Meer warm. In Arugam Bay geht man halt noch für 30 € (10.000 Rupien) für 3 Personen (Getränke, Vorspeise & Hauptspeise) essen.

De vriendelijke host Basheer die alles voor ons regelde en ons op ons gemak stelde tijdens het verblijf. Hij regelde ook een taxi naar ons volgend verblijf. Ontbijt dat je kan kiezen van de kaart wat ook lekker is. Straatje uitwandelen en dan kom je onmiddellijk op het strand. Hangmat op terras en comfortabele stoel.

De kamer was proper maar de badkamer wel klein en niet praktisch met de douche vlak naast toilet en wasbak.

That I could not stay longer

Super hotel, brandschoon en mooi. Ligging is perfect, geen geluidsoverlast van andere hotels en cafes met feesten. Basheer de manager is super aardig en behulpzaam. Hij kan alles voor je regelen tours etc. Super goed ontbijt, heel veel keuzes.

Hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, gutes Zimmer, schöne Hängematte auf der Terrasse.

War alles gut

Loved the stay at Aqua Blue. The staff always greets you with a smile, and the beach is just a few meters away. The breakfast has a big selection, and even if you like to sleep longer, they were always doing the breakfast. Even when it’s noon already, which means a lot :) they always want to make you happy. Basher was a great help in organizing a scooter and local trips. I’ll definitely come back again
