Hilltop House

Good walking distance from both the beach and the restaurants and shops

We didn’t feel like it was good value for the money we paid, we have been in nicer places than here for the same price. Also, you can hear chickens 24/7 so it was hard for us to sleep.

Beds a little hard

Super friendly host. The room was big and and clean. Same goes for the bed. We had a really good time here and would come again.

The garden place full of trees and plants and sand flor beetween houses, outdoor shower, big room, use of free cold water, big shower cabin, offer for, room cleaning offer, you can use stuff from kitchen ( plates, bowls..)

More comfortable pillows or maybe have two different, cleanliness in the shared kitchen was bad, shower handle and water pressure was poor

Location Amazing. Theepan was always very helpful when required. Place was kept very clean at all times.

The inside fridge for community kitchen needs a good clean.

Hilltop House was PERFECT! The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. We loved the outside space where we could chill and read a book. The property is in such a perfect area of Arugam Bay—away from the chaos of the main town, within walking distance to the main surf break, and it felt hidden away and so private and relaxing. Theepan was such an amazing host. He was so helpful and lovely! This place is a gem and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Great location close to Main Street and the beach which is very helpful as getting tuk tuk out of the main area can be somewhat overwhelming. Quiet area close to amazing cafe (Shady Lane) and dinner spot (Emily’s). Theepan is very accomodating, helpful and welcoming - always responded promptly to any requests. Couldn’t recommend Hilltop House enough!
