Eastwind Surf Camp - Surf & Stay

People were super super nice! The guest staying are slightly older so not pure hostel vibes but after a few days I adapted and made friends outside! Loved to come back home and have my peace.

The rooms get super hot and as there is no AC and air the ventilator is slightly helping but the heat is really intense.

Good location in town and we were glad that there was air conditioning

The room wasn't that spacious and the bathroom facilities were quite dated.

Common area outside is lovely and quiet, everything within walking distance. Nice coffee!

Eastwind surf camp is a lovely stay for solo travelers and for couples, great spacious & clean rooms, lovely outdoor area to social & for alone time. Situated in perfect location , along Main Street of Arugam but away from noise. Allan & his family very friendly & welcoming. More than happy to help out with organising surf lessons, tips & tours around Arugam.

Amazing location, super friendly host. This was our favorite stay of the trip!

Allan was a friendly host and made me feel very welcome! The room was quite large with a private bathroom and everything was clean. The place itself is really cool, a huge outdoor seating area and a kitchen where lodgers can cook. The staff are great - I had a problem with the sink one night and they were immediately able to fix it. There wasn’t aircon in my room but the ceiling fan was really powerful and with a big window it wasn’t too hot.

Feel like home! Allan is ready to find all you need and helps to solve any problem, he is great. Pinky’s breakfasts are the best way to start your day and she is always nice and smiling. The uncle always helps if you need something, it’s like being at home! Clean, nice, close to the beach and if you need he can find great surf instructors!
