Eastwind Surf Camp - Surf & Stay

We had just one night but we wished we got there earlier. The location and hostel design is really nice and cozy. You apparently can get food there m, which looked really good. We could feel chilled friendly hostel vibe.

The host is super nice and funny and helps you with all your questions. I arrived here as a woman traveling alone with little idea of how things work here. Allan (host) helped me a lot to get here and extended my visa straight away. Such a great place. I can only recommend it.

Alan is a great host at Eastwind. The location is great, being close to the surf breaks but being set back from the main road so it was quiet. There is a great outside area where you can sit and watch the monkeys and relax.

Unfortunately because it was out of season the shared kitchen was not really open but we were able to use the fridge. The mattresses were a little hard compared to others we've slept on in Sri Lanka

My stay at eastwind just perfect, well maintained beautiful garden, outside sitting area where people can hangout for a chat, we played carrom with the staff and I never play before, the staff was great. The host Allan were very helpful and answered all our questions. The room was clean and bright, and the room service was always on time. Will be coming back! Thank you so much.

Amazing location, clean rooms with fans and a great area to hangout

The Location is only a 3 min walk to baby point and 5 min to main point. The room was big and clean with a big bed and mosquito net. I was very sick the first week and the owner and staff where so nice to me. Calling the doctor and bringing me tea, balm and food to my room. Such sweethearts! I only wanted to stay for 4 nights but extended to 25 nights. There is a beautiful garden in front of the house where you can chill and a small restaurant which makes the best authentic food in town. I would come back immediately :)

Small nice hotel with a few separate rooms at a price of a hostel, definitely a good value for money. Clean and good showers (shared), 2 of them are enough for the amount of rooms in a hotel. It’s close to the Baby and Main surf points, 5&10min walk accordingly. Even in rainy weather the rooms and showers stay dry.

Beds (mattresses) are quite old and not too comfy. Only one socket in the room, and not near the bed. Some more hangers on the walls would be rly good. The single room (it’s only one in the hotel) faces the hotel yard and can be really noisy during the day and also at night (don’t know about doubles facing the other side). Sometimes it’s a bit hot without AC, but it was still fine.

Best price/quality in Arugam Bay! Very affordable and comfy rooms. Even if there is no A/C, the rooms don't feel too hot since they have a ceiling fan. Also, the chef cooks delicious food. Staff is super nice as well!
