"Family escape"

I loved the more secluded location with its beautiful views, the awesome pool overlooking the valley, the viewing deck, the rustic nature of cottage 1. Cleaning staff were friendly, discrete and efficient making the stay so relaxing and fuss free. It was the perfect place to unwind with a book or a snooze. The on-site hiking trails were a treat, allowing us to stretch our legs and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings without having to drive somewhere to take a walk. I had no idea this place was so easily reachable from Joburg - we'll be back !

The interior lighting of cottage 1's living area could be improved as it was a little bit dark and the kitchen counter on the inside of the island could use some prep space for self catering (as opposed to using the counter top). These are very small items for future addition, but most definitely not a big deal.

"Wunderschönes Cottage im Royal National Park mit Blick auf die Drakensberge"

wunderschönes Anwesen im Grünen und rundum die Drakensberge, Ponys laufen frei herum. Das Cottage Nr. 5 ist ein total gemütlich eingerichtetes kleines Häuschen. Es hat eine kleine Küche, falls man kochen möchte, es hat sogar eine Heißluftfritteuse und Mikrowelle. Wenn man Abendessen bestellt hat, wird einem das, wie das Frühstück auch, direkt ans Cottage gebracht, schmeckt sehr lecker und ist sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Es hat einen Ofen und wenn es kalt ist kann man an der Rezeption für 30 Rand einen Pack Holz kaufen, dann wird es richtig kuschelig im Cottage. Es hat einen tollen Pool mit Blick auf die Drakensberge. Liegt perfekt für Wanderungen im Royal National Park, man kann auch direkt vom Cottage aus laufen. An der Rezeption gibt es Spiele zum Ausleihen. Die Anfahrt zum Cottage ist eine Gravel Road, ging mit unserem Toyota Urban Cruiser sehr gut zum Fahren.

"Schöne Lodge mit Blick auf die Drakensberge"

Die Unterkunft liegt ideal für einen Besuch im Royal Natal Park in den Drakensbergen. Weil es bei unserer Ankunft etwas frisch war, haben wir an der Rezeption Feuerholz für unseren Kamin und unser Braai besorgt. Wir fanden es urgemütlich!

"Views, food and vibe"

This property has definitely the WOW factor in every single thing. The views are breathtaking, from the pool is over 180 degrees of uninterrupted amazing views. We very much enjoyed the pool! The breakfast was of excellent quality and variety. We also did the Braai dinner and it was also excellent. All food was delicious! We had an amazing time at Berghouse and Cottages and recommend the property to anyone traveling through the area!!

Super schönes Ambiente! Das Cottage tolles Interieur Frühstück und Abendessen wurden in das Cottage gebracht und war sehr sehr gut !!!! Die ganze Anlage toll Wir hatten Chalet Nr. 8!!!

"Toller Aufenthalt inmitten des Drakensburg Amphitheater"

Tolle abgeschiedene Lage inmitten des Drakensburg Amphitheater. Auf dem weitläufigen Grundstück kann man sogar Zebras entdecken. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen

Traumhaft, mit Weitblick, Ein Stück Himmel auf Erden. Wir waren begeistert von der Lage, dem Essen und den freundlichen Damen.
