Asim Paris Guesthouse & jungle trekking

Very nice staff. Helpful with arranging transfers and orangutan Trekking. Gave me rides on moped.

A little far from town, because there are no lights you can’t walk into town in the evening. A little loud because of thin walls.

We loved the guesthouse, the wonderful location at the river and the very friendly staff! The food in the restaurant was also great. We also booked 2-day-jungle-trekking tour which was just amazing! We saw orangutans and monkeys, a snake and different birds. The guide was experienced and explained a lot of facts about the jungle to us. One of the highlights was definitely staying the night at the camp in the jungle.

It is in a great location, close to the jungle and further away from the village. This allowed for us to detach and feel more relaxed during our stay. The staff was extremely flexible and helpful, they accomodated all of our requests to ensure our time spent there is as comfortable as possible. Our privacy was respected to the fullest, we were able to leave the door unlucked and be confident that nobody would enter. Having our own shower (even with cold water only) was a real luxury considering the location.

Life starts in Bukit Lawang as soon as the sun comes up. Be ready for hearing motorbikes from early on the morning until the evenings.

Er was geen warm water om te douchen. Dus het was even wennen om koud te douchen.

La ubicación es genial, no esta cerca del pueblo de Bukit Lawang, pero se encuentra cerca del río y de una zona que puedes caminar, perfecto para desconectar.

Al parecer era la única huesped del lugar, tal vez por esa razón NUNCA pude almorzar ahi, tuve que salir a buscar comida todos los días, y creánme que no fue fácil, un dia camine 2km para lograrlo. Siempre tenian alguna excusa de que no les quedaba cierto ingrediente o sencillamente no habia nadie. Para la cena, lo mismo, si es que encontraba a alguien, debia pedir lo mas sencillo del menu porque era lo unico que querian o podian cocinar. Un día pedi agua porque ya no quedaba en el dispensador y tardaron dos días en reponerla... Estuve varios dias ahi y tuve que pedir si alguien por favor podia limpiar la habitacion, me daba la sensación de ser una molestia para ellos.

De mensen waren enorm aardig en hele mooie huisjes! Ontbijt was heel lekker.

Great guesthouse! Super location, great staff, amazing food and awesome jungle trekking!

We had a really warm welcome at the guesthouse. We were picked up with the motorbike from the place where the shared taxi dropped us. Each room is situated in a little house with a private bathroom and terrace where you can have a look at the river. It is a peaceful location and if you're staying in Bukit Lawang on a Saturday, this is the place to be as you don't hear the loud music until 3am from the town. The accomodation is situated at 10 minutes walking distance from the town. If you don't want to go by foot, you can ask the personnel to bring you there by motorbike. The banana pancakes for breakfast were delicious. The staff booked us a jungle tour and arranged transportation to our next stop! The jungle tour was a really great experience with the guide from the hotel, Andy. He told us a lot of things about the jungle and gave us more than enough time to enjoy the orang oetans hanging in the trees.

As in all the other guesthouses in Bukit Lawang, there is no hot water to shower. Things to improve: - There was a fan in the room but it was still quite hot to sleep. Placing mosquito screens at the windows so you can open the windows during the night could help to cool down the room. - The mosquito net was way too small for the bed.

The Staff is friendly and extremely supporting. We had a great 1D jungle trek organized by the staff and they welcomed us despite our late arrival. The location is exceptional with hamocks overviewing the river, perfect after the hike.

The matrace was very soft, which is not to my personal liking, but probably good for others. The moskitonet is to small for the bed, but was actually not necessary due to not many mosquitos beeing around and the great sealage of the bungalows.
