Beautiful views, very tranquil, had a great nights sleep because of how quiet it was. Graeme was a great host.

Breakfast was a good spread of breads, pastries, jams & spreads, coffee & teas, cereals. Amazing view from room, lovely old stone cottage with view of the mouth of the Tyne River.

The views was amazing couldn’t fault the place

Fabulous unique property in a beautiful setting with amazing views of the mouth of the Tyne and the shipping. It’s also next door to the areas little maritime museum ( unfortunately only open at weekends) and a short walk to the amazing Collinwood memorial. The beautiful King Edward’s Bay is a short walk away, plus beautiful sandy beaches and the main social hub and cafes, bars and restaurants. Graeme the host was really friendly and helpful and we felt right at home and enjoyed the self service buffet breakfast with lots of continental options ; cereal, bread, ham and cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc

We lived the property - not much to dislike in such a spectacular setting 💕💕 Parking can be a bit tricky as the property is next to the Lifeboat station and access must be maintained for emergency vehicles. We always found a free overnight space in the end though !! Our room had a shared bathroom/ toilet, with just a bath no shower. The host Graeme was incredibly helpful and offered access to showers in other rooms as they were available if required. The house arrangement with en-suite shower facilities is in some ways better for a full house rental for families/ groups . We stayed a couple of nights and it suited our needs and was good value for money. We loved the views from our beautiful room and the hosts hospitality was great so access to a shower was a secondary consideration and I enjoyed the beautiful roll top bath experience !!

A picturesque place and wonderful, responsive host.

Lovely stay. Our Dog stayed for free which is a great bonus especially when you stay couple of days . Graeme was very friendly and welcoming Told us prior to arrival where the best to park , .There's a wee garden opposite were he offered to let the dog out as well , will be nice in summer time . Huge TV , Kitchen is well equipped you can cook and use fridge and all facilities. Location is great very peaceful and wee walk to great restaurants and bars Breakfast was good continental Would definitely stay again

Rooms definitely need a bit of TLC and shower really a good clean

Lovely place with great views and Graeme was so friendly and welcoming, location is great for beach and short walk to shops reasturants, continental breakfast was good with lovely fresh fruit. I will definitely be staying here again .
