Quiet place, good Parking

1st Room No1 carpets were badly marked, should have been checked before we were given entry, The locks on both No1 room No2 poor had lots of play, only 2 thin pillows on the bed, “seems” deserted at night but that’s only my view. Seems that Booking.com show breakfast, we were advised that not able to do until 10:00 by hotel, Then when we turned up at 09:50 we were told they don’t really do breakfast but they would, but it would be 30 minutes

For the price we have paid for these rooms and not even been properly clean and the beds were very awful and also bedbugs

The bedbugs and rooms stink of orders I can’t explain everything was bad

The pub food was exceptional. Great value and generous proportions.

Nothing as such.very basic and a couple of minor things in the room but basically clean and tidy.

The staff were welcoming and polite, they clearly are not the reason why I thought this accommodation was horrible. One of the kitchen staff offered to help carry our luggage up to the room. This is just good basic manners and was very welcoming.

Filthy, a strong smell of urine in the bathroom was horrible and there was a lack of ventilation when the window was closed (necessary to block out the noise of the 40 mph traffic and those driving louder than perhaps they should); the heat from the direct summer sun made it necessary to keep the window open - we had earplugs thank goodness. Filthy, dirty, disgusting laundry strewn down the stairs and down the corridor into the derelict side of the accommodation did little to enhance the experience. £75 for single occupancy and £100 for two with only one towel and one coffee cup between us was a contradiction in terms. A suspiciously blood-like stain on one of the two pillow cases wasn't great. Mold in the shower and the bedroom wall by the TV did little to enhance our experience. The shower door didn't have the handle that you pull to open it from the inside. It might have been there once but we had to reach over to get it to concertina open - a bit difficult for anyone under 6'. No plug in the bathroom sink and the hot water was VERY hot so either a scalding face wash/shave or a cold one. Filthy extractor fan with broken vanes and the WiFi was poor to non-existent. Not good.

Met all expectations and situated in a quiet rural location.
