Chichester Shepherds Hut

We loved the attention to detail at Highkettle Hut. It was a beautiful shepherds hut in a beautiful location. I loved our own private garden. Ian was a very attentive host and made us feel welcome. The location was perfectly situated in between Chichester and the coast.

It was very light during the early morning when we were trying to sleep.

The location was beautiful with views to a field. The enclosed garden was perfect for my dog and me! We sat in the garden in the dappled shade one afternoon and just relaxed. The space was clean and perfectly matched the photos and description.

There was nothing I didn't like. If I had to critique, I would only say that the private path to the gate could have been better signed and pathed with gravel or paving stones.

Was so excited-always wanted to stay in a Hut and wasn’t disappointed

It is quiet with a beautiful view. The hut is comfortable and has everything you need for a short stay. The owners are delightful and welcoming.

We thought toiletries were provided but only had hand soap. Access is gained by walking past the main house and across grass, a path would be helpful .

Small cosy place. We'll thought out space. Stayed for 2 days. Comfortable bed. If you like quiet it's excellent.

Door locks when you are inside but not from the outside when you want to go out. Didn't leave are valuables just in case. Make sure you let them know you have a dog.
