Chichester Shepherds Hut

I had an excellent stay. The hut is charming, clean, comfortable and totally private. I loved watching the cows drifting across the far field ready for early morning milking, and the pheasant that wandered past in the field every evening.

Maybe a third set of cutlery and crockery in case of visitors, but that is such a minor point!

Lovely hut with all the amenities needed for a short break. We particularly liked the private garden with the door and the location surrounded by fields.

Highkettle Hut was in a secluded private garden and was lovely and quiet. Close to main trunk roads for easy access to local places of interest. The bed was very comfy and when it was warm, it was well ventilated. The TV had Netflix & Amazon Prime, and had a good picture. The WiFi connection was excellent too! Shower facilities were good! Water pressure very good too...with plenty instant hot water. Nice area in the garden to sit and eat when weather permits.

Kitchen was adequate but did lack useful quantities of cutlery and crockery. Also, missing were glass tumblers and some other utensils like a sharp chopping knife, mixing bowls and egg cups! The only other small inconvenience was the instant water heater. Once working was brilliant and water was hot....however, you can only use one item at a time! Crawling under the sink to reboot it was quite annoying and it did seem to trip on a rather regular basis! The only.other small observation was the hut was a bit dusty with cobwebs.

Absolutely Fantastic place and will definitely book again. Clean and comfortable and everything we needed for our weekend break. Lovely private courtyard garden area perfect for our Dog. The bed was so comfortable, and the views were amazing . Already looking to book again. Absolutely Fantastic place

The Highkettle Hut is beautifully situated with a private garden. It’s warm and cosy with a very comfortable bed and a shower that is easy to operate!

We loved it but a previous visitor had stolen the food preparation knives and I didn’t think to tell the owner until we left. He was horrified, of course. Why do people do that?!
