Rooiheuwel Cottage

We couldn't fault our stay Rooiheuwel Cottage - our hosts were absolutely charming and the cottage beautifully equipped, extremely clean and comfortable and the location on the farm was beautiful. We only wish we could have stayed a little longer to explore the area further, but this gives us an excuse to come back!

We loved that the cottage was so well equipped. The Olde World charm really appealed to us. We also enjoyed being able to barbecue on the patio. It felt very cosy, a real home away from home! The owner was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. She made us feel more like a special guest than a visitor. She recommended the best places and restaurants to visit in the area which made our lives so much easier. We will definitely be back!

No breakfast. Everything was clean and comfortable. Host was great.

The bathroom had a slight urine smell and the toilet spray was broken.

We enjoyed our stay at Rooiheuwel. We were in the area for a wedding, and the location was very convenient, as well as access. We thoroughly enjoyed having the animals around to entertain us too. Very cute dogs & cat. Anina was very accommodating and communication was great.

The only downside was no water during load shedding, although if Anina is home she runs the generator and then you do have water. We worked around it, and it was ok. Just something to consider though.

The view was amazing and the host was friendly, helpful and super nice. The cottage had everything we need, even a power station when there was no electricity.

Very well equipped space, everything you need plus a comfortable bed. We enjoyed sitting on the stoop in the evening, very peaceful. Interesting vineyards to visit close by. Outstanding value for money.

The attention to detail in the cottage was wonderful. Fresh roses in a vase in the bathroom. A beautiful patio / braai area outside. it has everything you would need.

Nothing negative for us to comment on. Only suggestion we could make would be to have thinner summer duvets/blankets on the beds.

The communication with Anine was swift and very helpful. I would recommend them any day!
