Villa Sambal

Se siente como estar en casa, la habitación, los espacios comunes y su propio jardín. Cómodo y seguro. Los propietarios son muy atentos, pendientes de todo. Siempre algo preparado casero para compartir sobre la mesa y degustar. Nos invitaton la noche del 24 de diciembre a los huéspedes que estábamos para pasarlo con ellos, su familia y amigos para no sentirnos lejos de casa ❤️

L’accueil et les attentions de Herni étaient formidables et touchantes. La Villa était à proximité de nombreux différents restaurants et quand même très calme.

Home away from home. Pieter and Herni are lovely hosts who ensure that you have a comfortable stay. My upstairs room was a great size, it felt like a mini apartment. No aircon, but a big fan and being able to open the windows was great. Free coffee, tea and water, great common areas to meet with other people. I would have stayed longer, but unfortunately it was booked out. Definitely will be back when in Yogya.

Super schattige homestay in een heerlijk rustig hoekje van het kraton. Veel planten en bloemen, vers fruit uit de tuin. De eigenaren zijn erg aardig en nemen je mee op pad als ze daar tijd voor hebben. Veel bezienswaardigheden makkelijk lopend bereikbaar. Ruimschoots restaurants vlakbij. Had graag wat langer gebleven.

Niks, het is een homestay dus eenvoudig maar dat weet je van te voren. Ik vond het overigens minder basic dan ik had verwacht. Moskee hoor je idd maar duurt maar paar minuten. Ik ben erg gevoelig voor geluid maar heb hier prima geslapen.

One of the best places I have ever stayed in. Herni and Peter are lovely people, super friendly and helpful. They will make you feel like you are at home, in a nice traditional house and in a perfect location. You will get a full package. There are bicycles you can use during your stay. If you need a Scooter, you can rent it there. If you need anything else, like someone to pick up your laundry or you want to have a massage in your room, just need to ask Herni and she will arrange it. Also before you go somewhere and spend to much money for stuff, like Batik :), you better talk to her for advice first ;). And there is one more thing. Herni's cooking class is definitely a must for everyone, both vegetarien and meat lover, who wants to learn about local cuisine and have a good time and a nice meal. Thanks to Herni and Peter for a great time in Yogya. Absolutely recommended!

I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Sambal, though was short but I had a good experience and the owner is super friendly and helpful.

Everything was great! I love the Garden and all the exotic plants in the house. Herny is unbelievable nice, every morning she brought me something for breakfast from the market and one day I could eat leftovers from her Cooking Class! She even drove me at midnight to my train and gave me a snackbox for the way! Free coffee, Tea and water and you can use the kitchen. But there are many nice restaurants and bars in the area....also the tourists attractions in walkable distance and tour companies to book the Temples, if you like. Best host ever! Love the house and everything there! Thank you Herni

My stay at Villa Sambal was one of the most enjoyable and pleasant experiences I had in Indonesia. Herni is an amazing host who made me feel at home the moment I arrived and gave me the opportunity to experience local life by inviting me to have breakfast with her sister on a local market. Her recommendations on what to see in the city were spot on, make sure you visit the night market when staying in Jogja on a Saturday. Also, she offers great cooking classes (I did not join a class, but ate some of the dishes they prepared and they tasted great!). The place itself is very lovely as well. Expect a mixture of colonial-style architecture, tropical gardens and western comfort. My room had a toilet, a hot shower with proper pressure and a mosquito net. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is unlimited free water. There are several great local restaurants close by (again, I went to the places Herni recommended, incl. a top notch ice cream shop and a local lunch place). I highly recommend to stay at Villa Sambal and would definitely come back!

모든 것이 완벽했습니다. 숙소는 항상 이부 헨리에 의해 관리되고 있었고, 집 내부 디자인이 아주 신선했습니다. 쿠킹클래스도 들었는데, 쿠킹 클래스 자체도 전통시장에서 장을 보는 부분부터 시작해서 요리가 완성되는 모든 순간까지 함께하며 즐길 수 있었습니다. 방에 있는 시트도 청결했고 모기장이 있어서 벌레 때문에 잠을 못 잘 걱정도 하지 않았고요. 호스트 자체가 사려깊고 엄마같은 분이라 여행으로 와서 좋은 사람을 만나고 가는 것 같아 행복했습니다. 다른 일행들까지 빌라 삼발을 방문해서 같이 이부 헨리와 제가 만든 저녁을 먹게 되었고, 모두 다음 번에 방문하고 싶다고 할 정도로 좋은 곳입니다. 집앞 바틱 가게도 추천합니다. 동네 아주머니들의 따스함과 정겨움이 느껴지는 중심지에서 좋은 기억만을 쌓고 갑니다.

요리를 하는 주방과 정원이 있기 때문에 공용 장소에서는 개미가 나올 수 있습니다. 하지만 자카르타에서 본 심각한 벌레 같은 것은 없었고, 벌레 스프레이도 준비되어 있습니다.

Herni ist eine super freundliche Gastgeberin und kümmert sich um alles. Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch der Kochkurs!! Habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt und empfehle es gerne!

Toilettenbrille sollte mal erneuert werden. Auch der Abfluss am Waschbecken.
