Villa Sambal

Herni is ontzettend lief en gezellig en zorgt goed voor je. Villa Sambal voelde als mijn thuis in een ander land, ik vond het heerlijk. De kookcursus is ook een aanrader!

Eine wunderschönes Homestay inmitten eines tropischen Gartens. Sehr nette Gastgeberin, die auch Kochkurse anbietet. Die Küche ist zur Mitbenutzung durch die Gäste bestimmt. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Einmalig durch die luftige und offene Bauweise und die hohe Decke. Sehr interessant gestaltetes, sauberes Bad mit Blick ins Freie. In der Straße befinden sich zahlreiche Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Da ich morgens zeitig abreisen musste, hat die Gastgeberin mir netterweise noch ein kleines Frühstück für unterwegs mitgegeben. Ich kann dieses Homestay sehr empfehlen!

bu Herni and all staff were truly friendly and kind. I immediately felt so comfortable and welcome. The villa is beautiful, clean and well-maintained, located in a neighborhood brimming with delicious food and interesting people.

De gulle gastvrijheid. Je wordt opgenomen met de andere gasten. Advies werd vaak en zonder voorbehoud gegeven. Prima service van gastvrouw en gastheer. Herni is een meester-kok die bijna dagelijks een kookcursus geeft, Echte Javaanse gerechten.

Located away from a busy road, plenty of bars/restaurants within easy walking distance. Spacious room with seating area. Free Wi-Fi, tea/coffee/water and shared use of kitchen facilities.

Pebbled floor in shower (hard to stand on). Bed against wall so have to climb over one another, to get out..

Herni en Paul maken het verblijf voor de gasten zeer aangenaam. Ik ben uiteindelijk nog een aantal dagen langer gebleven. Kamer is heerlijk en schoon. De gastvrijheid, kamer super, en de ligging is ook prima. Je kunt alle bezienswaardigheden belopen. Maar een ojek is ook zo geregeld

Henri is heel gastvrij waardoor ik me heel erg thuis voelde in de mooie en fijne villa. Daarnaast zijn er veel restaurants in de omgeving.

Herni ist eine herzliche Frau und Gastgeberin mit einem wunderbaren Homestay. Selbst die Gäste, ob übernachtend oder für die Kochkurse, sorgen für eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Vom Wohlfühl-Faktor ist das definitiv ein HOME-stay, an den ich mich gerne erinnere. Man hat alles, was man braucht - sauberes Zimmer, sauberes Bad, eine gute Lage zur nächtlichen Fressgasse, aber was mir am besten in Erinnerung bleibt, ist wie gut man dort aufgehoben ist!

Das einzige Manko, ist das schwache WLAN Signal im Zimmer und ein scheinbares Funkloch, was den Internetzugang bei mir immer wieder unterbrochen hat.

Big room, clean and very homely. The owner bu Herni is very friendly and generous. She fed us well for lunch and dinner without us having to pay extra a single Rupiah!

The water for shower in the big room downstairs (where we stayed for two days) took sometime to get hot. It is not a big problem but it would be better if it is improved.

It's easy to feel very at home here. Herni is a lovely and generous host. The garden is beautiful and calm and there are nice places to sit outside the room. Fresh pomelo from the tree in the garden was an extra treat. The neighourhood was also very pleasant with lots of nice cafes, restaurants and excellent ice cream close by. It was also lovely to be able to borrow a bicycle!

It's worth being aware that the rooms are not very sound proof and the call to prayer from the nearby mosque is very loud. For me this was fine, but if you are a light sleeper, this might not be the best place for you.
