Good location and supportive staff.

A family run homestay in the middle of the ancient site surrounded by trees and monkeys -2 minute walk to huge wonderful tanks -friendly helpful family -delicious breakfast -would def stay again

There needed to be a mattress cover then plain cotton sheets bottom and top and pillowcases -the linen felt synthetic and hot Quite tricky to locate as it seems you are driving over the ancient site ! (You are as you pass the two large tanks )

The owner is very helpful and nice. Location is great when exploring the ancient city with breakfast included also. Overall a very nice place.

The beds were quite tough. Also keep in mind that the place is in the ancient city so you can’t go out when it’s dark and you will be stopped by the police quite frequently to ensure that you have the 25$ ticket.

Great location right inside the ancient city , owner is extremely welcoming and helpful. Overall good value for money Good for a couple of nights

Breakfast was not the best. However it is included in the price.

The host was extraordinary nice, helped us with everything and made sure we feel very welcome :)

A very peaceful place, wonderful owner, lots of nature, good meal

A moldy smell in the room, stuffy air, visible mold on the ceiling, no hot water, no soap, no toilet paper, no trash bin, constant dim lighting, no mosquito net. They claimed the walls were painted with mosquito-repellent paint, but mosquitoes bit us all night.

Very quiet place, excellent location if you want to visit the temples (walking distance). Tilan is very friendly & helpful and surfed us for breakfast a lot of pancakes and tea. Very good value for the price

These are details: There could be some more storage furniture in the room, mosquito nets and the big lamp outside was quite bright to sleep.

Thilan and his family have welcomed us very warmly and were very kind to us. They took care of us when we felt sick. Thilan showed us the monastary in Mihintale, organised a safari at Wilpattu for us and also a TukTuk with a driver to do a tour in Anuradhapura. He always negotiated good prices for us. We ate breakfast and dinner at their place and the food was delicious. Our room was spacious with an AC and was painted with a mosquito repellent coating.

The shower is cold, what we didn't realise while booking. However upon request you can get warm water.

The geographical location of the lodge is incredible, in the heart of an archaeological site, a few meters from the ponds of Kuttam Pokuna. The managers are extraordinary people. We were welcomed with great kindness and a great desire to share on their part. We had come to discover the site of Anuradhapura but we received much more. The mother and grandmother showed us how they cooked traditional meals. And the father, he is a regional guide. He introduced us to the whole history of the sites and Buddhism. Very cultured, his knowledge goes beyond the stupas and sites. He also shared with us a lot of things about animals (some rare ones that we were able to observe in the garden), wildlife (he introduced us to some leaves and berries that we even tasted), minerals (we found together some small precious and semi-precious stones). We were traveling with our 3 children aged 10, 7 and 2. They loved playing with their 8 year old boy. Everything was absolutely superb. Thank you 🙏
