Punkalasa tourist lodge

The host is one of the kindest people we have ever met. Thilan was so friendly and helpful and even arranged a safari for us at wilpattu national park before we even arrived in Sri Lanka - this was one of the best experiences we have done and we were fortunate to see two leopards amongst plenty of other wildlife. The room was clean with good air con and plenty of space! We had traditional Sri Lankan food for dinners that were home cooked and delicious.

Bathroom was a little bit dirty and there was mold, also in the room. Around the accomodation nothing, no shops, no restaurants.

Thilan is a perfect host, the dinner was delicious. He is also a guide and visit of the site with him was an amazing experience!

Not all room are A/C, but we hanled without it:-)

Tilan and his family are great people. They fulfilled our every wish. The food prepared by Tilan's wife was delicious. I recommend this accommodation. 💚

Very helpfull owner for his guests. Lovely place to stay in the Middle of the cultural heritage. Beatifull in nature. Owner made good srilankan food for us and good breakfast. We could store the bikes inside.

The best thing about the accommodation is the hosts, Thilan and his family are wonderful. First of all, they helped us, even before arriving in Sri Lanka, to organize a safari in Wilpattu and this was great, we were able to see many animals, even the leopard. They made us delicious dinners and lunches, with typical Sri Lankan food. The room was great, it was very big and comfortable and in the middle of nature. But the best thing was the kindness of the owners. We had a problem with our tuk tuk (it wouldn't start) and Thilan helped us start it on several occasions so that we could go on our excursions. He also spoke to the owner of the tuk tuk (since he didn't speak English very well) so that he could find a solution and see what to do to fix it. They are simply wonderful.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure we felt right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and a variety of options that catered to all tastes. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy and hospitable experience!

Towels, blankets, wastebasket and toilet paper were missing upon arrival. Towels and blankets were provided upon request. Instead of toilet paper we had about 5 napkins. Breakfast was just pancakes, ideal for people on a gluten-free diet. From the list of room amenities on booking.com, only two things agreed - the hanger and the floor. The air conditioning for which we took the room would be enough.
