Meexai Guesthouse

It’s quite simple but got everything you need. Comfy bed, warm water, ac, balcony and spacious rooms. Even a hairdryer and laundry service. The location is a bit behind the bridge, everything you need is within walking distance. You can even book tours with them and the staff was nice. We were doing a overnight hike and could leave our bags here for the night and check back in early the next day.

It’s not possible to close the doors silently unfortunately there were other quests who constantly were opening and closing their room door at 6am the one morning, that was super annoying

I wouldnt recommend the laundry service. When i received my laundry I had a feeling to check it and my favorite tshirt was missing. I told them and they retrieved it promptly. This was a tad suspicious, its a beautiful tshirt

Location was good, staff were OK and helpful, breakfast was reasonable

The room, shower, etc. were basic however you get what you pay for

An okay stay at Meexai. The bed was comfortable and the location is good (easy walk to the two hikes I did and the Historical Caves). There's a very sweet dog on the property who walked with me through town one time.

The bathroom could use updating (it took some figuring out how to use the shower, and the bidet didn't seem to work). I think everything is looking a bit dated, and for the price, I was maybe expecting a bit better quality. But overall it's fine for a couple of nights.

The owner was very helpful with Tours and transportation. The location is nice, you can go anywhere in Nong Khiaw by foot.

The first room we got did not look as on booking. Very old and not nice to sit outside. The Wifi wasn't great - depending on room.
