Buddika Safari & Resort

Wer eine Safari in den Udawalawa Nationalpark plant ist hier genau richtig. Die großen Zimmer, ausgestattet mit einem modernem Bad lassen keine Wünsche offen. AC, FAN, TV, Haartrockner, Wasserkocher und Warmwasser mit gutem Wasserdruck sind hier Standard. Alles sehr sauber und modern. Der Besitzer erfüllte uns jeden Wunsch und ist ausgerwöhnlich nett und hilfsbereit. Ob Frühstück oder Abendessen, alles sehr gut und liebevoll zubereitet. Wir buchten bei ihm eine Safari, die mit seinem eigenen Jeep durchgeführt wir. Auch hier alles bestens organisiert. Frühstück und Mittagsessen waren im Preis inbegriffen. Sein Fahrer war der perfekte Guide und entdeckte unglaublich viele Tiere. Sein enormes Wissen teilte er gerne mit uns. Wer eine super Unterkunf mit makellosem Service, gerade mal 2 Minuten vom Einlass des Nationalparkes sucht, wird hier fündig. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Kritisiert auf sehr hohem Niveau. Ein kleiner Abstelltisch auf dem Balkon wäre gut.😅😎

A perfect place to stay before safari. Located right by the entrance gate to the Park. The owner is the most wonderful person. He organized everything for us: from safari, through a massage to a trip to Galle. We could simply relax and enjoy amazing wild life. Thank you for your hospitality.

We absolutely loved our time here! Beautiful, freshly renovated property literally 200m from the entrance to Udawalawe National Park. Rooms were spotlessly clean and spacious, literally the best hotel bathroom we’ve encountered anywhere in Sri Lanka. Food was absolutely delicious, we had breakfast and dinner onsite every evening and Buddika’s wife is a fabulous cook. Buddika, the owner, went above and beyond for us at every turn, giving us a guided tour of the local temple and organising local transport/transfer to Ella on our behalf. Could not recommend this hotel highly enough, just book it :)

A very lovely stay at Buddika safari and resort. The owner was very friendly and kindly offered to bring me to the elephant transit home. They also helped us with arranging the safari and gave our breakfast in Tupperware for us to bring on the morning safari. As we were the only guests (low season) our room was kindly upgraded to a better one. The location is great as it is right next to the gate of the national park.

Buddika and his family were the most welcoming and accommodating hosts. I cannot fault them. Their hospitality, warm welcoming and making me feel like one of the family will always be memorable to me. They even arranged a birthday celebration for me, which was the kindest and most thoughtful gift 😁😭💙 This trip has meant a lot to me and having them host me for a few days, which I decided to extend due to Buddika's hospitality has meant absolutely everything to me. I couldn't recommend this place enough! The organisation of my safari was faultless and the breakfast/lunch they packed me was delicious! In fact all the food I've eaten here, cooked fresh to order has been great!

Très bien placé à l'entrée du parc national d'Uda Walawe et au calme. Chambre moderne, grande, confortable, bien équipée et avec vue sur la campagne. Personnel très attentionné et efficace : peut organiser un safari dans le parc à prix très raisonnable, avec un chauffeur expérimenté qui connaît bien les animaux : une superbe expérience ! Bon repas sur place et petit déjeuner copieux.

The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, with a great shower and both a powerful aircon and fan. The location is ideal, just a two-minute drive from the entrance to Udawalawe National Park. Buddika was incredibly friendly and helpful, organising a brilliant full-day safari for me and even helping arrange a driver to my next accommodation, which made everything seamless. He also kindly allowed a late check-out so I could shower before my 2.5-hour drive to Ella - perfect after a long day on safari. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

We had a fantastic stay at Buddika Safari & Resort near Udawalawe National Park. They arranged the safari for us, and the whole process was incredibly easy and smooth. We highly recommend doing a 3-hour safari. Our driver, Ravi, was amazing – very friendly, spoke excellent English, and was great at spotting and showing us wildlife. The rooms were nice and comfortable, and the food was very good. We also received a great breakfast package to bring on the safari, which we really appreciated. Everyone working there was incredibly kind and welcoming. We strongly recommend this place!
