"Great stay in a great location"

9.0

Great location, very clean, and nice Onsen. It met all of our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

There was nothing we didnt like, all was good. We knew to expect traditional style with mats on the floor and shared shower room so we were fine.

wonderful stay at this clean and comfortable family-run guesthouse that exceeded our expectations. also tail end of the ski season so we mostly have the whole place to ourselves. the in-house onsen was great for kids who found water temperature at the onsens around town too high.

浴室有小温泉,有地下室干燥室可以放雪板和雪鞋。离缆车站很近,走路几分钟就到了。老板英语不太好,不过比较友善,可以翻译器交流

"Clean, comfortable lodge with a spacious dry room; close to Karasawa ski area"

9.0

Suuuper sweet and helpful owners, clean and comfortable rooms, cute bathhouse, an easy 4-min walk to Karasawa ski area (even in your ski boots), and good Wifi. It's a bit removed from all the hustle and bustle of the town centre (which we very much prefer) but still close enough to many restaurants, bars and cafes. The room came with yukatas (cotton kimono-style robe) for each of us, which was pretty novel. The lodge also had the most spacious and well-organized basement/dry room I've ever seen in a Japanese ski lodge, with separate racks for skis and snowboards, a large dry room for jackets, gloves, boots, helmets, etc, and several washing machines. There was even a dedicated place for waxing your boards and skis.

Property does not have a parking lot. Guests can park at the 'Carpark P2 Karasawa area' lot, which is a 5-min walk from the lodge (first night ¥1,500, ¥500 per night after that). It is what it is, and we knew that before booking. But the super sweet owners, spacious dry room and the proximity to ski slopes made up for it.

"Would definitely recommend and would choose it again if we come to Nozawa."

9.0

-Location is great, very short distance walk to Karasawa lift -Staff are nice - Many useful information handouts/signs at the accommodation -Breakfast and dinner are great! -Very good value for money

- Their futon beds are much harder than normal futon we have experienced in Japan - There are some area with dusts in the room but it is understandable as it seems to be family-run business and not many staff
