No 5 Pilmour

As a returning guest we love the location. We loved our room in the little house out the back. It was so quiet and clean and pretty.

Completely unacceptable a hotel of this standard didn’t have wifi for guests. Wifi did not work in our room out the back. This definitely needs to be addressed by management for future guests. The Tv was very small more like an iPad. No smart tv for us to be able to login to watch The Open or our Netflix account. The bed seemed very short. I am 5 foot 8 and my feet were over the end.

Room was very nice, breakfast was excellent.

No availability of beverages other than at breakfast, no staff on site other than during cleaning and breakfast.

Well located and you could see the beach, just, from our room. Good bed and good amount of space. Nice breakfast to start the day

The shower had a drainage problem, which the hotel were aware of and dealing with, but it meant we needed to take more care than normal.

For the price, we expected that there would have been reception staff to welcome guests and offering a presence throughout the day. Instead, you are sent a code for the door. A good breakfast is provided but it is served at a shared table like a school canteen. Had we realised that the property is essentially an annexe of another hotel, we would probably not have made the booking.

The location was excellent for golf at the Old Course. The made to order breakfast was delicious.

The WIFI was horrible and the king bed was terribly uncomfortable as you could feel the springs of the mattress.

Tea/coffee in room was a bit “basic”. Shower showing some signs of age.

Very comfortable. Nicely appointed. Excellent breakfast.
