The Cuan Boutique Hotel

Could not fault the hotel in any way,staff polite & helpful . The food was excellent, and the presentation & quality were perfect. The best steak i have had for a long time. Breakfast was also excellent full of flavour and served again with perfection waiter was enjoying his work.

Dolores in reception was lovely. She warmly greeted us and showed us our rooms and our rooms were ready upon arrival so we were able to put our luggage in straight away. The room was well decorated and clean and modern. Lovely shower and bathroom had soap and shower gel. There were hooks in the room for hanging clothes (essential for our wedding outfits). The location was lovely. Right next to ferry to access Portaferry on main area of Strangford village.

It was a very hot day and particularly hot in the bedroom despite the window open all day and curtains closed. We wished there was a fan in the room but there was nobody on reception to ask when we went downstairs at night. There was also no water in the room (tap water/bottled water)so no way of making a cup of tea or coffee or even having a drink after a busy day of travelling. I think water in a room and a fan provision is really a bare minimum for accommodation. There was no oat milk at breakfast so we took our coffee black.

Location fab.next to ferry and lough.staff lovely.room excellent as was breakfast .

They had problem with heating or a pump so we missed a nice hot shower and the shower n bathroom were great fab view from window in wc and bedroom.

The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. I'm a solo female traveler for this trip and decided to take myself to treat myself for the evening while making my way north. Room was comfortable, everything was clean, and food was delicious. I also have food allergies that were easily accommodated.

Breakfast was gorgeous

Just wish we could have stayed longer
