The Gladson Guesthouse

Close to seafront & all bars & restaurants.

Beds uncomfortable. Could hear other guests when they flushed toilets or went in shower (noises from pipes). Guesthouse is not manned. Told on day of stay TV not working!

The location was perfect and the room was great, small but enough. You had everything you really needed. Shower/toilet, tvs, beds and a small microwave and sink. It was cosy and I liked being left to my own devices rather than have to be near staff all of the time.

For myself personally I would of liked a fan as it got warm at night. A hairdryer for my partner and a little more cleaning. While it didn't bother me my partner wasn't comfortable with the odd dirty bits left. I also wasn't a fan of being reminded on our second day when we needed to be out of the building. I understand why they do it but it seemed way to early for that kind of message and its a little rude.

Toilet and shower ok but towel radiator very close to toilet so was cramped

No fridge and no wardrobe but was advertised as having them

It was clean and comfortable. It was located centrally with only a short walk to both the town centre and also the beach front.

It was right on the roundabout of the main road and was very noisy from the traffic at times. On the Saturday night it was like being next to a racetrack.

It was lovely apart from the bedding ..the pillows were all stained and the quilt was vile and I think the bedding is the most important...but everything else was fine

Just the bedding was vile it really needs sorting out and the mattress well ..it had more lumps and bumps init really bad and need changing ASAP
