The ambience of the place was very nice. It is located up the penida hills. Beware of the dogs on the way to the cottage at night.

The staff weren’t that around. Very basic necessities like water, hairdryer and irons were not provided. The toilets were not clean. There were spider webs at the corners of the bathroom and room. The manager was very friendly however he mixed up the ferry terminals and we had to pay extra for the bike.

Good price for the hut and it was possible to arrange a taxi from the port. Also we bought a tickets to a ferry back to Bali for a good price. It was possible to rent a scooter here.

Location is good but you must be aware, that there is nothing around huts and you must be able to ride a scooter. Also it was a little bit dirty and breakfast wasn’t good… but okay for the price we paid.

Very nice place, close to the beach and city, yet peacefully calm. We enjoyed the pool and the staff is very kind. Also if you have any question or request the staff is always there to help.

We had such a relaxing stay. The bed is the comfiest I’ve had over my 3 week indo trip! Gustu is very easy to communicate with via WhatsApp and he organized taxi’s for us and I got a ride into town when I needed. Scooters are available for hire for 80k per day and we used one to get around the island mostly. The pool is very clean and the breakfast was so yummy! The AC, shower and WiFi all worked perfectly. We loved the banana pancakes and the omelette. I would definitely stay here again!

There are some small ants around, but they’re everywhere around the island and didn’t bite so not a big issue.

Wonderful place, the Host Gustu is superfriendly, very good Location for staying more than one night

Staff were excellent! GUSTU went way beyond of what I expected. Kept me comfortable and informed. He helped me to arrange the boat to Nusa Penida and a return Taxi. He was outstanding! Arranged a private motorbike taxi and guide around the west of the island, saw all the well known tourist sites. Amazing views! His sister, I believe was also amazing Arranging breakfast for me punctually, nothing was too much for the family. If you want a peaceful stay away from all the touristy parts of the Island this is your place. They can also arrange food delivery for you, lunch, dinner if like me just wanted to chill for the day. Was a great stay!!!

Location is off the beaten track, unless you are confident in riding a moped up some serious tricky terrain then opt for somewhere nearer to the touristy parts of the island. Although reviews mentioned the location, I didn't realise exactly how far and high up the cottages were. Minor issue as I had a blast!
