El personal és molt amable i atent, ens ha ajudat amb moltes coses i l’esmorzar estava boníssim!!! Ben situat i fàcil de trobar. A prop de restaurants i llocs d’interés.

El preu no correspon al de booking, quan arribes et cobren el que ells tenen establert.

L'esperienza complessiva è stata ok con alcuni ma. La stanza è ok, grande e con servizi apprezzati tra cui Aria condizionata, Wifi. La posizione del tutto è super centrale, merita veramente per chi si sposta a piedi. Anche la colazione è stata decisamente un +, la consiglio in quanto con poco si mangia tanto e bene, serviti dalla famiglia del proprietario.

La stanza nonostante tutto dava un po' la sensazione di mediocrità, soprattutto in merito alla pulizia, ci stavano parecchi insetti un po' ovunque e quando sono stato l'acqua calda non funzionava. Il proprietario e la famiglia sono delle brave persone ma spesso non troppo trasparenti, provano a offriti tanti servizi aggiuntivi senza però essere chiari, non menzionando il costo, le modalità o se ti stanno facendo una cortesia o vogliono semplicemente addebitarti le cose dopo. Il prezzo è leggermente più alto paragonato ad altre strutture simili alla zona ma per la qualità offerta sembra leggermente sballato.

Perfect location for getting to see the best of Polonnarua, and handy for getting a tuktuk to other places for restaurants etc. the room is simple - comfy bed (pillows were great), working AC, a sofa, good wifi, nice hot shower. No fridge, but kot a problem for us. Mosquito netting good. The breakfast was lovely, very tasty, and we were served a cold juice drink on arrival. Punja seemed to run things, he did the tuktuk tour of the city and was very accommodating and flexible (we had our own idea of what route and stops etc.). He was keen quick to offer other services, some of which we took, others we didn’t, but we didn’t feel pressured. After all, their business mode is cheap accommodation supported by services. The rest of the family was lovely too, and they keep the garden very well.

We liked it, and it was what’s paid for. But there was a bit of an ant situation in the bathroom. Didn’t bother me, but my partner wasn’t too happy. Previous reviews mention the bike rental - yes it was twice as much as some other places (Raja bikes along the A11), but it was super convenient, and still amounted to very cheap.

Delicious breakfast Location is closed to city and temple

I felt very bad at this place because I was doing a tour in Sri Lanka with a local friend who work in a travel agency. When I arrived at the Arani accommodation, they asked me if I wanted a tuk-tuk to visit Polonnaruwa, and I said no because I was touring Sri Lanka with my friend and already had transportation. That night, my friend and his family dropped me off at the accommodation in their car. Just a few meters away from the house, members of the host family were waiting to confront him — they insulted him and spoke to him very rudely, telling him that he couldn’t take me to the Polonnaruwa ruins because I was their client, and that I had told them I preferred to go with them. That was a complete lie. Also, during my stay at the house, they pressured me several times to buy or consume things from them, like dinner, water, or other items. This is not a safe place to stay, because this kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable.

Host are amazing family! They do have facilitated us every way in possible very quickly, also we had great dinner home made was incredible with local traditional cooking meals!! Airconditioner works well and rooms is super good, location is incredible to catch all ancient places easily from there and they rent cycles as well!! Very nice polite and kind people there!! Our stay was great looking forward to see them again!!
