We were warmly welcomed by the kind and friendly owners of this hotel. We had a lovely conversation with the lady, who shared stories about Sri Lanka, and we enjoyed exchanging our own travel experiences with her. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly at home. The rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable — perfect for our family of four. What really stood out was the genuine hospitality. The next morning, we were served an amazing breakfast with a variety of delicious Sri Lankan dishes. Everything was fresh and clearly prepared with love. The hostess went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, always checking in with a warm smile. Her husband was equally kind and helpful, always ready to assist in any way he could. The hotel is very well suited for families, and the personal touches made all the difference. We left feeling grateful and refreshed, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming and authentic stay. One small note for future guests: we had booked this stay with the idea of visiting Wasgamuwa National Park. The listing mentioned that the park was 19 km away, which technically refers to the outskirts of the park. However, the main entrance — which is where most safaris start — is actually about 1.5 hours away by car. This wasn't a major issue for us, but it's something to be aware of when planning your trip. We would kindly recommend the owner to clarify this in the listing to avoid confusion for future visitors. Accurate travel information makes a big difference, especially for families and early morning safari bookings.

In one word: perfect. This was by far the best stop of our road trip in Sri Lanka. The room was simple, authentic, and spotless. The couple who runs the guesthouse is incredibly kind — they welcomed us like friends and we ate like royalty! Every meal, from breakfast to dinner, was delicious and prepared with love. They also helped us organize two unforgettable experiences: visiting the ancient city of Polonnaruwa and going on a safari in Minneriya National Park. In the evening, we enjoyed a stunning sunset by the lake — it was truly a magical moment for us. A heartfelt thank you to both of you 🙏 Your guesthouse is a hidden gem, and we’ll always keep the most beautiful memories of our stay.
