Disblair House

Chris and Karolyn have been perfect hosts making us feel right at home ! We were visiting for the new year's from France and the atmosphere was everything we wished for and more for a cosy christmas / old manor vibe in their scottish home. Everything was taken good care of with perfect attention to details. Breakfast was outstanding with so much variety and quality (amazing summer fruit homemade compote). Definitely everything we could expect from a country immersive bed and breakfast, which are so hard to find nowadays. Thank you to our marvelous hosts !

Outstanding breakfast.

As soon as I saw the house,(its beautiful) as I pulled up the drive,I couldn't wait to see inside.Its a beautiful place.I loved the atmosphere throughout, and the owners were lovely,welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast layout by Karolyn and Chris was absolutely abundant, cereals,fruits,yoghurt,meats,continental assortment.. and more..I had a lovely cooked breakfast . Karolyn brought me a fresh,warm croissant with hot and fresh coffee . I made friends with the two gorgeous dogs of the house,Cica ( excuse if wrong spelling) and Buddy.. they're so happy and friendly. The room I stayed in was so comfortable, spotlessly clean..the microwave and fridfe in the room came in handy . The bed was so comfortable and cosy,I slept like a log. I could go on.. Will definitely stay again. Thank you Karolyn and Chris for a lovely stay.

nothing to dislike!

Very welcoming and friendly hosts , we had an amazing nights sleep due to the super comfy four poster bed and peaceful location. Clean and comfortable with lots of little thoughtful extras , felt homely. Wonderful cooked and continental breakfast , we couldn’t fault a thing and will definitely be back .

What’s not to like

It was a quirky old house full of furniture and decorative objects. The breakfast was exceptional, better than most hotels or other accommodations. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

It was rather chilly with no central heating. Rooms had electric space heaters. The lounge open wood fire was quite smoky.

Rural location, large comfortable bedroom, en suite with bath. Great breakfast, friendly owners, large lounge with lots of interesting antiques

Cosy, homely and best breakfast!

My friend and I could have stayed for life at this amazing hidden gem of a hotel. Both the owners treated you and welcomed you into their property as if you were family and also their lovely dogs. The breakfast was the most fabulous breakfast we have ever had with so much to choose from including continental and cooked what you wanted. They made our room very cosy and the beds were so comfortable, there were even chocolates for us,milk and water in the fridge too. Pure relaxation here,so if you are looking for a unique value for money then look no further as we both highly recommend disblair house by miles and will be back so thank you so much chris and karolyn not a lot of people like you.
