Kingswood Hotel

the staff were very friendly. the room was clean and functional. the restaurant was excellent and the hotel was in a lovely area and only a short walk to town.

the decor was a little tired and the bathroom door didn't shut properly.

A bed and a roof over my head

No breakfast, dinner only catering for those into Indian cuisine. Hot water taking an age to heat up and then scalding hot. No plug in bathroom sink. Lever on window falling off onto window sill. Window not closing properly but with half inch gap. Table lamp not working. Only one towel left in room. Creaky floorboards and these are only the details I can remember.

All was fine except the hand held shower/bath arrangement was extremely awkward.

Nothing, the room was so disgusting I asked for another room and it was just the same, so i didn't have the courage to stay.

The toilet is disgusting, the bed linen looked like someone had slept in it and they didn't wash it. I eventually decided to stay somewhere else. They promised to refund me the money but they didn't.

Location good 10minutes walk to train station and town centre

Bathrooms aren’t clean, filled with limescale, dust and hair from previous occupants. We had booked a family room and a double, to then be told on arrival they weren’t available despite us booking in advance Light fixtures missing bulbs TVs didn’t work Parking was an issue out the front of the property, spots are taken up by restaurant customers and you get blocked in by other cars trying to stay out of the permit only zones
