Beautiful and peaceful. Well kept.

Absolutely everything. From the decor and location to the little extra touches like blooming fresh flowers, milk and cookies and access to Netflix. It’s right near a beautiful lake and the hosts were friendly and helpful. Would 110% recommend to anyone.

Staying at Tussock Cottage was an absolute pleasure. Lee & Jaap were excellent hosts. Lee was there to welcome us and provided excellent recommendations on things to see and do, she even provided us with delicious cookies and fresh eggs too. Lake Hayes and its surrounding walking trails are conveniently located nearby. The cottage itself is exceptionally well-appointed, clean and lacking nothing in terms of amenities. It is quiet, with an extremely comfortable bed. The interior has ample space and is tastefully decorated with bespoke art both inside and outside. The cottage benefits from being away from light pollution, which offers an astounding view of the night sky. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. We were sorry to leave and we will certainly be returning on our next visit to New Zealand.

A quirky cosy cottage close to Lake Hayes in a lovely quiet setting. It had a super comfy bed, lots of seating (inside & out) and was full of artwork by Lee the owner.

We loved this property. Quirky and comfortable, in a great location for exploring Arrowtown and Queenstown. The owners were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for sightseeing and activities.

A fabulous time spent at Tussock cottage. It exceeded all our expectations from the idyllic, peaceful setting with lake views, to the very comfortable bed, lovely outdoor area with sunbeds and sunshade, the wonderful artistic touches in the cottage that made it so cosy and inviting. Delicious homemade Anzac biscuits were a lovely gesture and very tasty. Lee was the perfect host and made sure that we had everything we needed. I can’t recommend this property highly enough. It’s just a shame we had to leave!

A superb stay in every way! My only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer. Tussock cottage is a restful haven filled with gorgeous artwork. Spacious, calming, comfortable and fully equipped. Lee was an incredibly helpful and friendly host. This was by far the best accommodation on our NZ trip. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic cottage this is. Everything was just superb, location couldn't be bettered and the views stunning. Cottage itself was super clean with every amenity.

Had to leave

Jaap was so kind to us and stayed in good communication, available if we needed anything. So cozy, the decor made the resting moments even more delightful. The countryside tranquility and beauty improved our wellbeing on arrival. The Lake Hayes is such a natural beauty. We loved the bike rides. Only a few days away was so refreshing in this spot.
