The accomodation had loads of character and was very homely. The location was spectacular and the hosts were lovely. The beds were very comfortable and clean. There was a beautiful walk on the property. We would have loved to stay longer.

Stunning views, lots of birds, quiet country mountain setting. Cool old school coffee grinder, nice beans. Loft beds good, lots of extra blankets if needed. Star-gazing excellent. Great BBQ. Absolutely charming cottage. Love the window seats. Really lovely host, no hassles. Like the artworks. Bottle of milk in glass bottle. Wifi adequate.

Main bed a bit soft, not great for dodgy backs. BYO butter, only margarine supplied.

"A step back in time"

Great views, amazing breakfast. Awesome to have all the tuis flying around in the harakeke.

This would be a good place to stay for those who want the 'off the grid' experience. For us I was disappointed I didn't do more research. An eclectic cottage with no modern conveniences or luxuries but the price tag of the luxury hotels. Also not a place anyone with allergies or hayfever would want to stay. We had two very sick allergy sufferers after one night. If you want to step back in time, without wifi, hairdryer, TV or toaster then this is the experience you'll appreciate but be prepared to pay for it
