I can't rate this place well enough. Makes me yearn for less modern times. I don't remember the last time I was that relaxed. Just book it.

There were no view from the accomodation, it looked at a shed which wasn’t expected from looking at the photos online.

what a fabulous location, a great little cabin all as pictured.

Be aware the only heat is from a wood burning stove. make sure you get plenty of firestarter to keep the stove ging otherwise you will freeze in cold weather.

We had a lovely stay in the Rock retreat. It was very clean and beautifully presented. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a decent meal. We had plenty of firewood to keep warm on a very cold weekend. The bed was super comfy. Overall a great weekend to shut off from technology and enjoy the mountains

Hot water is not great at all. It only works for few minutes and would go stone cold. Which left one of us with a cold shower each night. It didn't seem to be an issue with the kitchen taps. Maybe the gas heater couldn't keep up with the shower flow but it was rather disappointing.

Pretty much everything. The little fireplace is quite effective. The bush just outside the windows in bathroom and next to the bed. The photo history book about the property and family. The wooden based decor in general.

Not a complaint, just a slight downside so you know what to expect. The kitchen is cute but it's tight and very little bench space. Bit tricky to keep shuffling things around to achieve things.
