Rock Retreat B&B farmstay

Cute & rustic. We were looking for something different to a hotel room to spend the night, we are from a farm so this appealed. Lovingly put together, the cottage had plenty of character. We appreciated the fireplace with wood at the ready. The breakfast was nice, bit more yoghurt for a family of four would have been appreciated (option to contact owner for supplies was there however we didnt want to hassle them). Would recommend people stay for 2+ nights to appreciate the area, the veranda, the walks etc. Couple of recommendations would be a portable air dryer to dry clothes if its raining outside also if they had chickens, eggs at breakfast would have been a good touch to give options at breakfast.

Nothing I didn't like, the shower water could have been hotter but im a bit crazy with how hot i like my showers haha

The fire place was really cozy and the set up of the main space was also really lovely. Front balcony and views were also really beautiful

The cabin was comfortable.

The beautiful views advertised can not be seen either from the living area of the cabin, or the veranda. The view is blocked by a tree and a large shed. You can see the view from the kitchen, but from the photos, I expected to be able to see it from the veranda and living area. The view is the reason I booked this accomodation, so I found this disappointing. The breakfast was bread, which was in the fridge, but there was no toaster- which was odd.

Adorable, so simple, breakfast ingredients left for us in the fridge. Games in cabinet for the kids, and the cutest little handmade puppets you have ever seen. Location had a fun, well marked hike that was like no hike we had ever done. Lots of neat little decorative touches and thoughtful things throughout the Airbnb.

The property was very rustic not what we expected from the website. It was a bit too basic for our taste and smelt very musty.

Stunning views and surroundings. Quirky styling and decor. Left ring behind and owner went out of her way to get it back to us.

Location was beautiful. Quite remote but so quiet. The unit was very clean and there were plenty of blankets and pillows. The coffe was quite good.

I understand that this place is meant to be a more rustic, remote type of place. However just a few very small tweaks could be so helpful. 1) add a small trash can in the bath. 2) install a shelf in the bath to hold items rather that having to put them on the washing machine with the sloped top 3) provide a box of kleenix(tissues) 4) provide a longer cord for the nightlight so it can be easily moved to either side of the bed. I am not sure if notice was given that hair dryers aren’t allowed. I may have missed that but if not it should be made clear.

Very private, loved the homely rustic vibe - hot water bottles, blankets for stargazing & sunrise. Breakfast provisions were delicious including the home made condiments.

Breakfast was okay.

Cluttered, dusty, tiny house. Kitchen was ridiculously small. Not allowed to use a hair dryer, one tiny mirror, upstairs beds were very small and uncomfortable for an adult. No toaster, microwave or TV. 4 adults for 2 nights with 3 rolls of cheap toilet paper and when asked for more, was told you already have 3 rolls and were reluctantly given 2 more the next day.
