TaloYlläs is a fantastic place to stay, particularly in winter. All of the rooms have a certain level of charm as they are adorned with miscellaneous items from Äkäslompolo. Joni the host gives you a solid run down of how things are setup. The sauna is great, you can book a time to use it, it's clean, modern and private. When the lake is frozen it's quicker to get to the main part of town instead of walking around the outside. Some snow gear is available at the accomodation too, you can use the Kick Sledge or the Snowshoes as you see fit which is fantastic. I saw some places that rent Snowshoes for 15 Euro Per Day, so having these around to use when you see fit is handy. Toilets also have a handheld bidet which is a win!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour ! Tout était réuni : vous êtes excentrés du centre mais à 20 25 min à pied en traversant le lac, ce qui est à chaque fois une belle balade. Le logement contient une cuisine commune où il est possible de manger, un sauna + douche très appréciable après avoir passé un bon moment dehors. L'hôte est très sympathique et accueillant ! Il donne de bons conseils sur les activités, etc. Cerise sur le gâteau, nous avons des aurores boréales depuis la chambre ! Tout était parfait !
