Very cozy and clean! Saw aurora from the kitchen & our bedroom:)

Ahead of arrival, the host (Joni) was very helpful in dealing with all of our enquiries and was very knowledgable about the local transport options for arriving at the residence. On arrival, he showed us all the facilities and made both of us feel very welcome. The bed was comfortable (Reindeer room) with a small wardrobe for clothes and hanging rails. There are chairs and bedside tables in the bedroom too, and plenty of power outlets where required. The kitchen, whilst small, was well appointed. Whilst it could be busy at peak times, all the residents were able to cook and socialise with each other without issue. There is a table with seating for 4, as well as 2 person sofa (great for looking at the Northern Lights through the kitchen window if you don't fancy being out in the cold). The sauna was lovely after a long day out on the tracks, and there were no issues with the booking system, which is also used for the showers. The (2) toilets are seperate to the shower / sauna / utility and drying room. We were very greatful to be able to leave our luggage after check-out, as we still had a full day in Yllas. The ability to use the on site sports equipement was also appreciated - kick sleds, snow shoes / poles. There was also a heated shed for ski storage, as well as a preparation area for waxing the XC skis too. The location of the accommodation is absolutely ski in / ski out (cross country trails), and is only about 150m from the nearest bus stop - which is the connecting bus from the train station at Kolari, as well as the local Yllas Ski Bus for getting around the area (or to the alpine skiing areas)

We could find no fault with the property - it exceeded all our expectations.

The lovliest and cosiest accommodation I have stayed in Ylläs so far, felt like home and welcomed. Joni (the host) is such a friendly guy, will defninitely be back. Kiitos kaikesta! :)

Liked everything.

Couldn't have wished for a better stay. There are 4 rooms in total for up to 8 people with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom/shower/sauna. The host lives in the adjacent building so if you have an issue during your stay don't be spooked if in less than a minute the host shows up to resolve it, really awesome service! The beds are are really comfortable, after an active day followed by a relaxing sauna it feels great to lay down and wake up well rested. The location is also quite nice, not exactly in the town centre, but during winter it's a short walk from all the stores, across the frozen lake. And there's a bus stop at about 50 m where the "ski bus" and long distance busses stop (if you come by train to Kolari it's very doable by bus, I regret not doing so!). Also a lot of cross-country skiing, hiking and cycling trails nearby but be careful and check the map thoroughly so you don't get lost in the dark. Be sure to bring a proper flashlight just in case ;-) And I got to see the northern lights on my first night there. Would love to come back next year!

I had the whole space to myself most of the time which made it really calm and quiet. If it's fully booked I can imagine it being a bit more hectic.

Very cosy and nice accomodation, good price, for 3 nights you have everything, what you need (shared kitchen with basic equipment, sauna, bed, next to the cross-country tracks, ski bus, etc...). The owner is very nice, you can use also building for maintanance skies, you can try snow shoes, etc.

Booked on the way to akaslompolo and were very helpful even though they didn't expect us Clean comfortable room and common areas Had use of Sauna and other amenities Really enjoyed our experience here

Water could be hotter but was nice as it was a hot day

The staff was very accommodating! We could check in at midnight, and it was a lifesaever. Simple but more than enough equipment, a clean and charming room, and a quiet environment.

Nothing special.

The place was peaceful, very close to skiing tracks and 15 min by walk to the village centre. In the accommodation there are all things you'd need (e.g. sauna, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen with filter coffee machine) and the rooms are cosy and comfortable. The owner is also very helpful and easy to reach in case something is needed. Shared kitchen/living room was also a great opportunity to talk with other travelers and share recommendations of the area. The place definitely had a nice Lapish feel to it, and the area was beautiful as well. The stay was definitely worth it and I would easily recommend this place to other visitors.
