The views from the property are incredible, and the location is good for exploring the region. We enjoyed tasting the wine, Olivia was great.

The property needs some investment. The suite is overpriced and felt sterile, it was rough around the edges. The sink in the kitchen was leaking, and the pool area - it was completely dishevelled at 4pm with towels and lounge cushions on the floor, the stuffing was coming out of the cushions and we could only find one clean pool towel, with no staff member visible nearby. Everything seems worn out. Besides some of the restaurant and cleaning staff the service was poor. The food was okay but it strongly felt to us that they prioritised day events over staying guests. We were glad we only stayed for one night. We would have shared our feedback directly but at checkout we weren't even asked how our stay was, we were just presented with a bill that included the room charge we'd already paid. I wouldn't mind but it just epitomised our experience - if you're paying £270+ for one night you expect so much more. This place could be amazing, I hope it improves.

The room was amazing and the view breathtaking! The restaurant was really good too and had a varied menu. Our hosts were super accommodating. We also enjoyed the wine tasting. Will definitely recommend and would love to come back.

Alluvia was the venue we looked forward most on this holiday, but we were most disappointed with it. During the time we stayed there, the Western Cape was struck with a severe storm. We understand that this made things difficult for everybody, however, since we were not at home, the establishment should have concerned themselves with our comfort and safety and it did not. The restaurant and staff is a big let down. the staff is really unprofessional. Tables were untidy. Their conversations with each other were audible and out of place entirely. The distance from the rooms to the restaurant is quite bothersome - especially when facing harsh weather. We got room service one night, and whilst we paid for it, it was poor quality and we did not want to pay for it. After our first night's stay, we went out and came back after 14:00 and our room had not been made. We struggled from the car in the parking lot up external stairs in horrid weather, to find we had to wait for our room to be cleaned. There was no lobby our lounge. We went back to the car and wait inside it until we could get to our room. they offered us a turndown service once and never again. The room was never cleaned completely. Surfaces were not wiped. The shower leaked and did not drain properly. The phone did not work. The stairs to the rooms are too steep and very unsafe to use in high winds and when wet. There are no alternatives. The place is completely over-sold on the website and Booking.com and does not live up to expectations at all. We begrudge having to pay for it .

Eingebettet in die wunderschöne Berglandschaft von Stellenbosch ist die Aussicht vom Restaurant wahrlich atemberaubend. Das Essen ist sehr gut, der Wein auch und unser Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Die Mitarbeiter haben einen großen Teil zum schönen Aufenthalt beigetragen. Danke.

Die Aussicht und die Lage von Alluvia sind wirklich wunderschön und definitiv das Highlight des Aufenthalts. Gerade die Umgebung in den Bergen von Stellenbosch hat viel Potenzial. Positiv hervorheben möchten wir auch den Concierge am Eingangstor – super freundlich, aufmerksam und wirklich ein toller erster Eindruck. Auch die Dame beim Check-in war anfangs sehr nett, wirkte nach unserer aus unserer Sicht absolut gerechtfertigten Beschwerde allerdings deutlich unterkühlter.

Leider passt der Zustand der Anlage insgesamt überhaupt nicht zum Preisniveau. Unser erstes Zimmer hatte feuchte Wände, sichtbaren Schimmel und roch extrem stark nach Reinigungsmitteln. Nach einer Beschwerde haben wir zwar ein anderes Zimmer bekommen, aber auch dort wirkte vieles alt, abgewohnt und renovierungsbedürftig. Das Bett war zudem extrem unbequem und durchgelegen – man konnte gefühlt jede einzelne Feder spüren. Ehrlicherweise müsste die gesamte Anlage inzwischen grundlegend modernisiert werden. Auch das oft gelobte Frühstück konnten wir nicht nachvollziehen. Das inkludierte Continental Breakfast war eher schwach und deutlich unter dem Standard, den man in dieser Preisklasse erwarten würde. Die warmen Gerichte, die andere Gäste bestellt haben, sahen zwar besser aus, aber uns war die Lust danach ehrlich gesagt vergangen und wir sind lieber in die Stadt gefahren. Das inkludierte Wine Tasting war ebenfalls eher enttäuschend – jeweils nur ein Weißwein, ein Rosé und ein Rotwein, insgesamt recht lieblos und wenig besonders für ein Weingut in Stellenbosch.

Wir wurden von Anfang an herzlich empfangen und haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Das Zimmer war wunderschön und sehr sauber. Besonders genossen haben wir das leckere Frühstück sowie die tolle Lage in Strandnähe. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse war einfach traumhaft.
