"2 nights in a lovely, comfortable room with an excellent bathroom. couldn't have asked for better."

10.0

We stayed here as a base for the Rock and Ribs festival at Wincanton Racecourse. So glad we did. such a fantastic room. Well-appointed bathroom with a rainfall shower, louvres for privacy on the window shades - plenty of space, a fantastically comfortable Hypnos bed - a great place for a couple of nights (or more, but we only needed couple) in a lovely village. The Scarecrow Festival is a little bit freaky, though - driving back through Castle Cary late at night and you think there are people standing about, but they're all scarecrows!

I spilt some sugar making a coffee in the breakfast room - and couldn't find any kitchen roll or blue roll to clean it up as much as I'd have liked. Seriously, that was the only thing I can find that's even vaguely negative - the whole stay was great. Oh, the parking situation - we were lucky and managed to park outside overnight both times, but it might be worth mentioning the other car parks (especially one with a charger for EVs) in the adverts/correspondence.
