Die sehr gute Lage, das ausgesprochen gute Essen und die freundlichen Gastgeber.

Leider waren in der Nacht auf einmal sehr viele Ameisen im Zimmer obwohl alles geschlossen war. Das Bett fühlte sich außerdem sehr durchgelegen an. Im Nachhinein hab ich gesehen, das bei der Gesamtrechnung (Zimmer, Fahrrad, Essen) noch 10 Service Gebühr draufgeschlagen wurden. Keine Ahnung ob das üblich ist. Ich kenne es bis jetzt nur vom Essen und hatte es auch noch bei keiner anderen Unterkunft.

Beautiful view from the balcony, close to the sights, fantastic vegetarian rice and curry for dinner. This really felt like holiday here.

Quiet, clean. Very close to the ancient city. Hosts friendly and helpful.

Make sure you have mosquito repellent for the evenings.

The room was fairly basic but clean and comfortable. We asked for and received a kettle, but there was no fridge The location was lovely and quiet, set amongst the paddi. You would enjoy this if you like to commune with nature as we were treated to a whole variety of animals, birds, and insects. There was a nice spot on the balcony to relax. It was only a short walk to town, but we paid for breakfast each morning and tried an evening meal. The food was good. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The service charge. We knew that 10 per cent would be added to accommodation and food but did not expect it to be added to a trip to the ruins and a guide. A trap for young players, I guess.

The homestay is run by a very kind and friendly family. I felt like at home. The hosts were super hospitable. The location is right in the town centre close to everything. Good value for money if you are on a budget.

La cena tipica e la colazione eccezionali. La posizione comodissima per una passeggiata sul lago e la zona archeologica. La stanza grande con una bella vista sulle risaie. Proprietaria sempre sorridente e molto efficiente.

Man guest house is a lovely place to stay, we loved the room, views, property and the wonderful staff who made sure our stay was comfortable and full of fun. The owner helped us organize activities everyday, and we also enjoyed delicious meals. I highly recommend the breakfast and occasional dinner! They organized an incredible safari to Minnieriya national park, our driver Shiran was extremely knowledgeable of the park, animals and made sure to take us to beautiful spots, I highly recommend going on Safari with Shiran! We loved our stay at Man Guest House, it is easily the best guest house in polonnauwra
