Breakfast was superb every day. Host was amazing. Very kind and informative. Great beach nearby. Many good restaurants close by.

The property is in a central location of Riberia Grande but located down a quite lane so we also felt relaxed. We parked outside the property on the one way street. The breakfast was incredible - a choice of breads, jams, cakes, cheeses, hams teas. The host was very friendly and charming. A very lovely person. We all spoke for a long time about Riberia Grande and Azores. Oh the tomato jam was amazing. The room was spacious too.

We loved everything, it was very clean, well located, nicely decorated and the staff, Rossana and Eduardo really pay attention to the details. The breakfast room was lovely set and the breakfasts amazing.

The wasn’t anything we didn’t like. But as we already commented with Rossana as a spot to improve for the future, it would be to include a fan or an air conditioner. She told us they had a fan but that week was in the maintenance.

The host were lovely, and the breakfasts were amazing!

The guest house is very close to the heart of the old town, which was convenient.

One of the things that should be improved was the juice provided for breakfast. Clearly, it was diluted with water and it tasted just like colored water. Not nice to give something like this to guests. Also, we wished our room had at least a small glimpse of the ocean like shown in the photos, it's a bit misleading. .

Rossana was an amazing host. She went beyond to help me with all the needed info. The place was spotless ❤️ The breakfast great and the jams and desserts amazing! Thank you!!! Also, the location was great. Just 5 min drive from my fav beach in the island.

There isn’t such

Room: Very spacious with seating area and shelves, as well as outdoor balcony looking over a garden. Lots of space to unpack our things and hold our luggage. (This was not the case in MANY places we visited on our trip so is worthy of mention.) Lots of natural light in the room, as well as in the bathroom. Good lighting in addition to the natural light and accessible outlets for charging devices. Nicely decorated. Spotless. Helpful guest book with suggestions of places to eat, etc. Bed: Very comfortable with ample pillows and blankets. Fresh linens that weren't worn out (again, not the case in some other places we stayed this trip). Bathroom: Lots of space, under counter storage, and great light, as well as a window for fresh air. Nice thick towels and even a dark gray towel was provided for showering in the room if you happened to visit the local thermal pools. Spotless bathroom. Breakfast: A different and special sweet treat was provided each morning that was baked by Eduardo as well as a basket of fresh rolls he made. Each guest gets their own table and items are laid out with lovely dishes and your own tray in the refrigerator with juice, fruit, milk, meat, cheese, etc., in addition to a nice variety of cereals, teas, homemade jams (by Rossana) and other goodies. Each room has its own coffee pot set up to go each morning in the dining room and hot water was ready to go for tea. It was an enjoyable way to start the day. Other treats were also provided by the hosts at no cost, too (try the homemade cinnamon liqueur). The hosts: Eduardo and Rossana are very kind people who seriously want to offer an excellent experience for their guests, which they did. Always willing to offer suggestions of places to eat, shop, etc. We left feeling like we had made new friends. Location: Perfect for walking to the waterfront, local square, restaurants. Have no suggestions for improvement whatsoever.

I don't know where to start! Rossana kindly waited for us on our arrival (1.30 am!) and despite late hour showed and explained everything we might need, there were some local type of pastries on the arrival in our room. We stayed in the bigger room with ocean view (3 of us) and a room was perfect, its big so you don't feel like there is no space for a group of friends. Balcony with a view - great! Breakfast was good, everything you need for a day full of adventure. You could also use the microwave, dishes, fridge (amazing!) located in the breakfast room. Cinnamon liquor made by Matriz house (owners) is 11/10, we wish we had checked in baggage for flight to buy some big bottles. If you need, you can also do laundry in the house (for an extra pay), but that's also is great feature of staying. Very accommodating, we have felt very welcomed and it was just GREAT! I just don't have words to recommend it enough. Thank you so much for the amazing time, you were part of it.
