Hostal el Alebrije

Alfonso was a most welcoming host, very friendly and willing to give advice and tips on things to see. He also cooks tasty, filling breakfasts. The position is great, 3 minutes' walk from the main square but in a quiet spot.

Honestly the room was a bit grotty and smelly; it could do with some basic furnishings - a hook to hang a coat or a towel for instance, better beddings. Despite the efforts of the staff to keep the bathroom clean, some of the clientele, especially male, doesn't care about the others: by the evening the toilet seat and the floor around the toilet were sprayed with urine.

Hostal muy cómodo y limpio. Olvidé algunas cosas y los jefes me las enviaron por correo. 100% recomendable.

L'emplacement est idéal. La vue sur le toit est splendide, très agréable pour se poser ou manger. Les volontaires sont ADORABLES et tellement bienveillants. Le propriétaire organise des activités dans l'hostel.

Hostal el Alebrije is a wonderful place to stay - the rooftop is beautiful and they have everything you need there, and they keep the place super clean. But most of all, the staff and volunteers that work there are so warm, friendly and caring. You can tell they really care about making their guests feel welcome and safe and I had such a lovely time here, would highly recommended! The rooftop is beautiful and there are social activities (from film screenings to karaoke) every night if you want to join in. The staff are also so helpful with tips about the local area and the location is perfect.

My only issue is the mixed dorm felt a little cramped with not much storage space, but this was not an issue as everything else was so wonderful!
