Questionable staircase to rooftop

1) 2-5 min walk to the Centro and around lots of good cafes 2) 7-10 min walk from the famous Lake 3) budget Friend Most Important: I went on 31 Dec 2024 to celebrate a nice small New Year's Eve and to my surprise, the Hostal owner Carlos surprised all of us with a small party with lots of food, drinks and music. It was very touching and even we all had a nice talk till late at night about local culture and about Valle de Bravo

1) Frankly, there is nothing to dislike in the hostel since it is a true value-for-money experience. 2) WiFi speed was sometimes a little slow but it’s probably the same across all Valle de Bravo.

Place is nice overall..

The dormitory is extremely small and without any aeration.. no window no fan absolutely nothing..

- A great laidback option to stay in Valle de Bravo for budget travellers. For the price you pay you receive a rooftop terrace with hammocks and a stunning view and a simple breakfast is included (changes each day, quesadillas and molletes were what was on the menu for my stay). - Well equipped kitchen for self catering. - Well located with grocery stores, market and dining options nearby. - Beds have a light and conveniently placed power outlet. - Lockers available (large enough for valuables but not for locking away bag).

- The six bed dorm is small (you get what you pay for) and it gets quite hot and smelly as there’s no ventilation from either a fan or windows, it would be great if there was a fan. - In the six bed mixed dorm there’s limited space to put bags because they don’t fit in the lockers and this creates mess. - The fridge is somewhat small and would be an issue if it was busy there’s no area to store food outside of the fridge. - Two bathrooms for ~15 guests when at maximum capacity. -

The hostel is well located near the center for easy walking around town. The staff / volunteers are nice. Rooftop has a nice view of the lake.

Very simple accommodation if you want anything more than this isn't the place. The bed was quite worn and uncomfortable. The dorm is cramped and smelled moldy. Also the bathroom was quite dirty. Fine for 1 night stay which was how long I stayed.

Perfect location right in the centre of town with a cute little Rooftop terrace and all amenities you could expect of a hostel for a good price.

Some of the rooms don't really have windows and smell a bit mouldy. The free breakfast is a nice addition, but it's very small, so you'll probably want to grab something else as well.
