Goulas Traditional Guesthouse

Location and view are amazing!

The accomodation is very basic, with rather old forniture. No/ minor extras are provided ( only 2 toilet paper roll, half liter water per person and one basic shampoo/ body wash). Hot water does not work. Chairs are full of rust. Despite the reception should be available till 18:00 for check in, the responsible person left already at 16:00 and we had to check in alone ( which went all fine). However we had to come back earlier the next day from our trip to complete the payment as we couldn’t complete it on the same day due to the absence of the reception.

A lovely base for exploring amazing Monemvasia – we were greeted right away by the friendly hostess upon arrival and settled right in to enjoy the beautiful terrace and quiet location. The room had everything we needed and all facilities were great - bathroom, wifi, fridge, comfy bed. Location is amazing right by the town gate (so easy to get stuff in and out) and awesome restaurants, but off the main drag so very quiet at night. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed at Goulas Traditional Guesthouse for one night. The guesthouse is inside the Monemvasia fortification. We found the guesthouse easily. The room was large and had great views out to the ocean. The bathroom was small but functional. The bed we found a bit hard for our liking and the pillows were somewhat too high for us, but given we only stayed a night it wasn't the end of the world. The gesthouse is in a great loaction with an easy walk to the main street, just remember Monemvasia isn't big, it's actually quite small. So everything is close by.

Getting parking close by is more or less impossible, which means you have to park down the bottom and walk to the fortification or catch a bus. Irrespective it's a lovely walk

What an amazing place! Brilliant room with it's own terrace overlooking the sea. Close to the main street but totally quiet and magical at night.
