Nice area. Great sea views. Large terraces. Romantic.

All a bit run down. Bathroom basic. Lights basic. Doors difficult to close. Hardly water in sink. Shower drain almost blocked. Rooms can’t be darkened, since window in door to terrace has no shutter or dark curtain

It would have been helpful to have a sponge to wash dishes with instead of a giant microfibre towel

A name plate in English over the door or at the top of the steps would have been helpful.

Being able to stay inside the old town of Monemvasia is fantastic. We booked a 'family room', but were delighted to find that it turned out to be a two level apartment with a small kitchenette. The beds were very comfortable and we slept very well there. We had our own front and back doors, and the air con was lovely in the heat. The balcony we had was lovely, with great views out to the sea, of the surrounding town and up to the fortress at the top of the rock.

It was a little bit difficult to find the place as the sign outside it does not read 'Goulas' but something different. After walking past it 4 or 5 times (while Google maps confidently repeated we were within 100 meters and no more than 1 minute away!), we went in and asked if they could help direct us, and they said 'you're here! let me show you to your room'.
