Good location, comfortable and well equipped room, ample parking, nice breakfast, and a welcoming friendly host.

Location and breakfast

The room was a great size, there was a bathroom and a separate shower room. Four single beds and a big sofa. The breakfast was big and well cooked. The staff were all friendly and pleasant.

We opted to eat in, the food was ok but we had to wait a long time, we gave up waiting for the cheese and biscuits. The one thing that really wasn't good was the bottle of red wine we had with our meal, it wasn't the best bottle of wine to be honest and then we noticed that it was in fact from Aldi, it retails at £3.99, I think we were charged around £20 for it, I realise that wine in restaurants is a lot more expensive than in the supermarkets but it should at least taste good.

The room was better than expected especially for a hotel that lets dogs stay. Very clean and comfortable Food was really good, you could tell that it was locally sourced Very good value

Have used this super dog friendly hotel for the last 10 years. Nothing is too much trouble, so accommodating. Food is lovely. Super dinner choice, a la carte ( you pre book your choice). A fabulous hearty full English breakfast as well as buffet. Highly recommended.
