The Victoria

A fantastic little pub. Spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff and customers. We didn't want to leave and go to the gig which we had tickets for, as we were having such a laugh with the customers. The beer is THE BEST I've had in years!!!!! Everything is run like clock work. Close to the town if you were going there. 5 Mins to a brilliant Indian restaurant. (Monsoon). No bother with keys, everything is opened with numerial codes.

Parking. You can park by the side of the pub, but I'd arrive about 5pm after the nursery up the road has had the kids all collected. Loads of room by then.

Lovely comfortable room. Pub downstairs so convenient for a one night stopover. Super staff!!!

No food available but I knew this and many eateries in walking distance. Negotiating outside metal stairs when existing with my luggage.

We went to the local theatre (5 min walk away) so decided to stay here. The welcome and information was the best I’ve ever had. The room was exactly like the photo and bathroom was lovely. Everything was clean and well organised. It was just a perfect stay. The pub down stairs is cosy and had a great atmosphere.

Check out is at 10am, but you can ask to extend if you need to.

The customers leaving late at night shouting but there are signs up for you to respect the neighbours

No keys! The code number for the door locks is a great idea. Room was comfortable

For me, the bed was too soft.
