Property Notes

Wizards Thatch does accept non-crawling babies and children older than 5 years old. Travel cribs for babies are not provided directly by Wizards Thatch, so guests should bring their own. Dogs are permitted ONLY by direct approval from the owner. Please note that due to the age and nature of the property there are uneven floors, narrow stairs and some very low beams, especially in the bathroom. Door heights are also low. Due to the huge amount of old timbers, no candles are permitted. Check-in after 7 pm is available upon prior arrangement only. Guests are asked to contact the property by phone to arrange this.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Fun and quirky well appointed cottage in a great location"

Wizards Thatch is a fabulous, quirky cottage in a great location in Alderley Edge. We stayed in Camelot, which has a comfortable living room with squishy sofas and tv, lots of books as well as a kitchenette area with fridge, kettle and toaster. It’s roomy, well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches.

We loved it but Camelot has a steep staircase up to the bedroom and bathroom which might not be suitable for everyone although I believe other rooms are available.

"A little piece of wizardry luxery"

Location was excellent , Everything you could want on the doorstep , Ian the host was fabulous and gave us some top tips on where to eat out. I would recommend Pan Asian cuisine and the village cafe for a scrumptious breakfast.

Stunning room and excellent location. Just beautiful.

The bedroom part of the room was very warm and the duvet very thick. But I could have used one of the other blankets provided.
