"Nice and private"

8.0

Nice and private , own entrance to the room which was nicely decorated. Bed was soft but comfortable. There was a nice courtyard to sit in if the weather was good. Friendly cat welcomed me when I came.

The toilet made a loud noise when flushed.

"Homely, clean, welcoming and thoroughly enjoyable."

10.0

Arriving in the village you are met by winding country roads, a bursting canopy of trees and the Inviting song of woodland birds. At the address there is parking sufficient for any regular vehicle which is off the road and accessible. Pear tree cottage is a lovely self contained room & bathroom annex to the main property where the owner lives. It is accessed via a cobbled court yard to the rear of the main cottage where there are a table and chairs for you to sit and enjoy a glass of wine whilst enjoying the peace and quiet. Inside the room there is a sofa, coffee table, small fridge, and the usual drink making facilities. There is a welcoming and comfortable double bed and ample sockets for charging your devices etc. Inside the fridge was complimentary water, yoghurt and oats. The bathroom was well equipped, clean and the shower a good temperature for both my wife and I. Overall, everything was clean and tidy, homely and not at all like the conglomerate experience at large hotels, little touches from the host were also lovely. Prior to arriving the host got in touch to offer useful information and offer themselves as a point of contact, they made us feel welcomed and at ease. We would highly recommend staying at Pear Tree Cottage and if travelling in the area again we would look forward to staying again!

"Really lovely and loved the cat too"

It was a lovely stay and the breakfast part was so nice especially for me working so early.

If there was anything it would be a lock on my side of the door that says don’t try to open And the towels didn’t seem fresh

"A place to crash!"

4.0

As a cheap place to stay in the area it was ok but a B&B probably would have been better!

Salted caramel yoghurt is not for breakfast and the granola left was pretty old, TV had a cheap aerial, and could not pick up Satellite channels or connect to the wi fi, Tea/Coffee maker, Iron, additional toilet, were not evident! iPod dock or USB charging point were not available. Flat-screen TV was old and held to the wall with a bracket that could not turn so you could not see the screen from the bed. Cats persistently trying to enter the room.
