Andelen Guesthouse

We stayed in the suite at the Andelen for our wedding and had the most MAGICAL experience. The accommodations were perfect in every way and the hospitality from the owner made us feel right at home. We rented the tandem bicycle on-site and had so much fun exploring the island (and riding it on our wedding day.) The steamer there saved the day (after ours broke), the speaker system was awesome for the jazz radio we played the entire time and the overall beautiful design + functionally of the space worked perfectly for us. Location was perfect...the coming-and-going of the bicycle rental in the backyard made for a lovely balance of gentle liviness and peaceful quietness. We wouldn't change a thing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Andelen Guesthouse is a real gem of accomodation on Æro! It's a very lovely, newly renovated guesthouse with a lot of charm. While some rooms have shared bathrooms, those are exceptionally nice bathrooms and not what you'd expect when you read "shared". There were also many small touches that made it cosy (the extra coffe/tea bar, etc). And of course Adam, the host, was very friendly and always had good recommendations. Bonus: the breakfast you could buy extra even catered to Gluten free diet.

Absolutely wonderful stay - the location could not be more central, and there's a space for parking if you take the car ferry over to the island. The owner Adam rents out bikes for the day at a great price, and was incredibly helpful in deciding where to bike around the island. Would highly recommend!

Well located, convenient and a charming setting. It was clean and well maintained. We had access to free coffee/tea and a refrigerator was an added bonus. The host was super nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay!

The architecture and the decor were absolutely beautiful. The owner has traveled extensively and has art from around the world decorating the property. It is so thoughtfully and happily curated.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice eclectic accommodations with a (partially) eccentric and very hospitable host.

No complaints

The place has real character. The host (Andy) has fitted the place out with hand-made furniture and nice little touches all round. We had shared bathrooms which were to a superb standard and always clean, although there was a little bit of a queue in the morning.

There is no breakfast served and on the day we were there (Tuesday), the local bakery and cafe were closed. Not a major headache as the local Netto has an excellent bakery, but coffee had to wait until we were on the ferry later that morning.
