The Lodge

It’s very cute lodge. Excellent location only 5 minutes from shops and takeaways. Lovely owners with quick response time. Would definitely come back to this lodge.

Very peaceful quiet location,when we opened the door there was a lovely fragrance and it was very clean,the room was small but comfortable for two people but not for tall or big persons,the location is good as the shops are 5 minutes drive and Clacton-on-Sea is about 10 minutes,meet the lovely host Julie and her three lovely dogs, dogs are not allowed but she said if you have a small dog she may make an exception you just need to let her know first when you book.

The property was not easy to find as it’s hidden and there are no signs,also it would be nice if there was a mirror in the room for us ladies,and there is a gap on the side of the blind near the bed which let the light in and woke as up early,these are minor things though which would be easy to correct.

Very accessable to where we were attending. Clean and organised. Hosts very friendly and accommodating.

Free safe and easy parking. Directions to find property was good although extremely remote. Self check in was as described.

The height of the ceiling was far too low. We booked for two people but were provided with only 1 cup, 1 glass and 1 towel. The description of the property was not accurate.

Lovely place- very clean, bed was comfy & great value for money. Also loved the little touches like the biscuits, milk, water and tea/coffee etc. Julie also allowed us to check in early due to attending a wedding at the nearby priory. Stayed here as it was close to the location and good price- however, would come back here for a weekend away trip!
