The host was amazing! Great communication on Whatsapp. Wonderful location right next to trails and the Punto Ornitologico birdwatching tower! Was very receptive and even got me a pot and colander for cooking. Connected me with Andres, a taxi driver who took me to Paz de Las Aves and other prime birding areas for significantly less than the services offered by the birding lodges. While I booked for 12 days, I stayed two extra; so 14.

No complaints at all. I would come again in a heartbeat.

Excellent value for the place! The hosts are so helpful, even helping me to arrange private transportation after I missed the last bus to Mindo.

There were a few power outages during my stay but resolved quickly.

Manuela was terrific! And the location which includes parking spot behind a locked gate is very, very convenient.

It had everything you could need to feel it like home

There was a small cockroach in the shower. It’s the only thing I felt uncomfortable about, the rest was perfect.

Well set out apartment. Communication via whatsapp was easy. Only minutes from the Punto Ornitologico, the best place for hummingbirds we found.

Those damn roosters 🤣 You get used to them. An electric kettle would be good. It was a little way from the town centre.

The flat was beautiful, the kitchen was complete and the bedrooms were comfortable.

We stayed here a week and would stay here again. The beds were very comfortable and didn't make noise when you move around. The showers were hot and had good pressure. The loft upstairs could get hot during the day but everything cooled off nicely at night and we slept great. We loved all the windows in the loft. The kitchen was well equipped for some light cooking. The wifi was great. It wasn't a problem for us, but if you have mobility issues, the upstairs loft might be a challenge to access, the stairs are steep with low access. Luckily there are also two bedrooms downstairs (my mom opted for one of these rooms.) Also the hosts were friendly and very responsive by text.

The place is very private, so if that is what you're looking for it's a great option. The hosts were also very helpful and hospitable. The facilities were handy, we were able to cook a couple of meals in the kitchen. A good, affordable base to set up with a group to enjoy the activities Mindo has to offer.

The location is reasonable but is still about a 10min walk to town. The beds weren't bad at all but some new linen and covers would be a nice touch.
