Hacienda Verde

An ideal place if you’re looking for peace and serenity. The surroundings are incredibly calm and quiet, with gorgeous green scenery. The house is very cozy, with wooden ceilings and small windows that let in the early morning light. All the essentials are provided. Even if it’s cold outside, you’ll feel nice and warm thanks to the indoor heating. Pepe was extremely hospitable and welcoming, always available if you needed anything. I loved staying there and will definitely come back. On another note, bear in mind that reaching the house involves driving uphill, so you may want to consider renting an automatic car for the hilly roads.

Electrical installation in the property (Azure hut) needs serious attention. The fuse blows multiple times a day and occasionally you need to contact the host to reset. Some lights simply don't work and other cables appear to lack insulation. It was too cold inside in February - the pellet oven that is meant to heat the hut is dated and appears to be out of order. The substitute electical radiators are not sufficient - temperature inside in the morning no more than 15-16C. Overall, needs a bit more attention to detail to make the guest stay more comfortable, especially given the steep pricing of well over Eur100 a night...

La casa está estupenda, equipada, acogedora, limpia y preciosa. La finca igual.

No nos ha parecido bien cómo se nos respondió a invitar a una pareja de amigos de la isla a conocer la finca. Primero, es confuso el modo en que está escrito en las instrucciones de la vivienda (está prohibido "y sin consentimiento de la propiedad" ...". Si pone "y sin consentimiento" quiere decir que existe la opción con consentimiento). En segundo lugar, después de decirme que no, me dieron la opción de un extra de 40 euros. Nos parece desproporcionado pagar 40 euros por que dos personas estén un par de horas, conociendo el entorno y tomando un café. Creo que pagamos una buena cantidad por la casa una semana para que algo así sea totalmente natural (sabiendo y pudiendo controlar perfectamente cuánto tiempo están). Es una casa, no una habitación de hotel. En fin, mal, poca visión de acoger y mostrar la finca a futuros visitantes. Cuando he explicado mi malestar ni se me ha respondido, mala atención en este sentido.

the way there was incredibly steep with the car, inside the house it was incredibly cold and the heater was on but it barely worked since there’s no isolation whatsoever and the cold can just pass through the cracks of the door, the pool is shared and pretty dirty, when we used the little oven/microwave the power would completely cut off after like one minute even when we turned off all the lights and unplugged all other chargers, there was a huge lizard in our house that we couldn’t get rid of and we found multiple bugs in the bathroom, no shampoo or body wash is included, when we were out and it rained some in the day and we’d come back, the kitchen floor was completely wet of the rain

Wonderfully quiet and relaxed setting. We stayed in the one-bedroom house, which was spacious, cosy and warm even in cold temperatures due to the stove. It's a short drive to restaurants, or a 30 min walk down and up the very steep road. We couldn't use the garden since it was too cold and mostly in the shade, but I imagine it great to sit outside and relax in warmer temperatures. Note that the location is at 1000m elevation, meaning it's a fairly short drive up to the Teide area but a bit of a drive down to the sea (and La Orotava) and it's much cooler.

There could have been a few more things provided in the kitchen, e.g. working coffee machine, washing up liquid... we had to bring those things ourselves. Also, the bed is on the hard side.

Ein sehr schönes Haus auf einem großen Grundstück mit mehreren kleinen Häusern. Durch die Größe des Geländes ist alles sehr ruhig und privat. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und sehr sauber. Uns hat es bei der Ausstattung an nichts gefehlt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer hat sehr gut funktioniert. Das Haus befindet sich etwas außerhalb von La Orotava in ca. 900 Metern Höhe und kann manchmal in der Passat-Wolke liegen. Sollte es kühl werden, kann das Haus gut geheizt werden. Der Garten ist wunderbar grün und hat viele liebevoll eingerichtete Details. Zahlreiche Wanderwege sind in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.

Alles war gut. Wenn man den Herd nutzt und kocht, sollte man nicht zu viele andere Geräte einschalten, weil sonst die Sicherung rausfliegt.
