Hearthstanes Steading

Amazing place, clean, great accommodation, comfortable beds, good quality bedding. We stayed there for one week. We had everything what we need. Host was really helpful. Dog friendly, suitable for disabled child. Toilet downstairs, bathroom upstairs. Lots of space for a dog walk or for kids to run, incredible views just outside house.

Lovely accommodation in stunning countryside. Quiet and time to relax.

Kitchen well equipped. Ample dinning room. Farming activities around gives it character. Not far from Broughton, in case you need to get milk or jam. A couple of toilet rolls in the toilets in case you forget your own, don't forget to buy for the third day onwards though, you won't have any extra. Host checked periodically for any new requirement.

It may be a glitch from the Booking.com website but we booked for 6 people and paid for the room well in advance. A couple of days before the actual stay it appeared as if the booking was for 2 people only. The mood in the party went down a bit at the unexpected extra cost (we wouldn't cancel the whole thing days before the trip!). No water at all on the first day and night due to a pump failure. It was repaired by midday the following day. Bring blankets. Mine was not enough and we went in Summer! Give the Sofa/Bed to someone that is not picky. Is not very comfortable. If you want to have a BBQ get your own charcoal. The charcoal bag we were given wasn't enough for 3 people, and we're 7!

No pub/cafe within walking distance

Everything, relaxing as usual, property lovely, clean and comfortable. Ralph is the perfect host.
